I love jewelry and accessories!

My Mom is my greatest inspiration. When I was little girl she said I could do anything I wanted. Of course at that time I wanted to be Doris Day married to James Gardner.

My first jewelry making... I can remember going to the dime store and buying seed beads in tubes for 5cents each! I have been making jewelry since I was five.

My first crochet...I can remember sitting up with my Mom in her bed with the TV on and her showing me how to crochet. Again...6 years old.

My first sewing experience...My Mom would let me sit on the floor by her feet and she would tell me to press the button on the foot control to make the sewing machine go. I was 5 years old. Made my first Barbie skirt when I was 6. It was a square of left over sky blue corduroy about 5 inches by 5 inches. I hand sewed on a big old wood button on one corner and made a cut in the corner across. When buttoned, the front looked great, but in the back my Barbie's hiney showed!

Started selling jewelry to friends in the 80's and then started selling online in 2008.

My favorite quote:
"The only thing that separates us from the animals is our ability to accessorize." From Clairee Belcher: STEEL MAGNOLIAS 1989.

Frequently asked questions
Care Instructions for my crocheted items

Hand wash in cool soapy water. Be sure your soap is a mild soap and you will only need to use just a little soap. Rinse, then lay the item in a towel and roll the towel with the scarf inside. Then press out the excess water. Then lay the scarf flat to dry. Once dry, if the scarf needs a bit of fluffing, you can place in a cool dryer for 1-2 minutes with a dryer sheet.

Care instructions for my Jewelry

I always recommend storing jewelry in a small plastic bag. I will send one of these with your order. This will keep the item from tarnishing, and will also keep necklaces and chains from getting tangled.

All items are made in a smoke free and pet free home.

Packaging for Crocheted Items

Crochet items:
My packaging for my crocheted items is that I place them in a food grade plastic bag and place them in a mailing envelope. If it is one of my larger items I will use a box. The plastic protects the item in shipping in case the envelope or box gets wet. Once you receive the hand crocheted item, shake it to fluff. The scarf could smell a bit like the plastic bag when you get it...a bit of time out of the bag and this smell should go away.

Packaging for Jewelry items

My packaging for jewelry will include a cotton lined jewelry box. I do this because it adds more protection for the jewelry while it ships. I will also tie a bow around it. It could get a bit wrinkled in the mail, but it makes it more fun to unwrap! It also makes a nice package for giving as a gift.

Processing Time

This item is a finished product. My processing time takes 1-3 days because I have a day job. I need the day job to support my yarn and bead habit. So, sometimes an order may come in while I am at the day job and would not be able to mail the same day.
