Thanks to all the customers who keep coming back to make this all work, I'm a long time at what I do and am passionate about unique and impeccably made jewelry with great service. We appreciate you are a discerning type who would rather wear a limited edition or one off work, you know it takes a little more to get something out of the ordinary

We go deeper....
When someone says "seriously the most talented metalsmith I have seen on Etsy" you may want to take note..."Making this work is a privilege for those people who appreciate that handmade is a special thing in this world of mass production and throw away goods"

"Absolutely brilliant! Unique designs, a creative that's always pleasant to chat with, and a massively talented craftsman at work here. I have purchased two custom pieces so far and have little doubt I'll purchase more in the future. They are without a doubt, some of the most impressive steampunk/retro sci-fi jewelry that I've ever had the pleasure to wear. They always draw comments and attention, which is incredible considering how small, intricately detailed, and understated they are. There really is no substitute for this sort of quality craftsmanship. Thanks Ant."

We may be a long way from where you live, but post usually the same day as your order to assure you will get your treasured piece as quickly as possible, often sooner than if you bought it within your own country.

This was waiting for me when I arrived in Auckland. It's a delightful locket and sits well on a short chain. I love it thanks!

About

Unique quality jewelry to inspire and delight

Some days it feels as though I was born to be doing this.

My Family emigrated to New Zealand when I was only 3 years old but my English roots are strong, maybe that's why much of my work has a strong Victorian "steampunk" influence. One of the very first pieces of jewelry I made (back in 79) had at its centre a watch movement. My Mom still has it, I made it the first weekend i was allowed to use the workshop on my own. I served an apprenticeship with the wonderful Danish Jeweller, Jens Hansen, who made the famed "one ring" from the Lord of the rings movies.

I come from a creative family, both my parents making a living from their hands, my dad a potter and architect, and my mom a textiles teacher and weaver.

I start with an idea and do many sketches to sort out a way to make the idea come to life. Then the long process of making a master pattern begins. I use the thousands of years old "lost wax" technique to make most of my work, often using new materials not commonly found in traditional jewelry making.

We work out of my tiny home studio here in Nelson, New Zealand on the hills above the sea with my 2 tiny papillons Rama and Lacey.

This is work designed to last a lifetime and then some. Made from solid metals, bronze, brass, stainless steel, tough borosilicate glass and recycled sterling silver rather than plated soft pewter. I'm kind of fussy that way. It comes down to integrity and quality...Each piece is finished with minute attention to detail, something increasingly rare in these times of mass produced copy cat goods, I prefer to forge my own way rather than follow the pack for a cheap fix and a quick buck. I believe a business is best run on a repeat client basis, excellent (and prompt) communication and after sales service. The feedback section about an Etsy store is a great way to gauge this....I welcome you to take a look!

I've exhibited widely in New Zealand, the work is in collections of major NZ galleries and sold in select venues here and in Australia. We love going to craft fairs and meeting the wonderful folks who wear the work.
Etsy has been a fantastic way to reach a global audience and has become a cornerstone of my business.

I wish all indie makers on Etsy the best of success and consider myself a very fortunate person to be a part of this thriving movement.

**Tracking is not available on NZ international airmail*** Tracking service costs an additional $45USD and requires a contact phone number. We ship International orders via NZ airmail. If you do not receive your jewellery (allowing for reasonable delays in postal system!) we will send you another. Overseas airmail takes 5-10 working days as a rough guide, but there is no guaranteed exact time frame, every so often the post takes a little longer than quoted. If you are concerned please convo me.

We ship within 3 working days of receiving your payment, our aim is to get your jewellery to you as quick as possible, as we know what it is like to wait and wait (NO FUN!) Exceptions to this are if we are out of a certain part or material, in which case we will convo you to let you know of any delay.

New Zealand customers will recieve jewellery via courier. There are 2 options for this, Non-signature or Signature required, I send via non signature required unless you request otherwise.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, or the person you have bought it for would prefer something else, please convo us, we accept returns or exchanges.
Return postage is the responsibility of the purchaser, as is postage of a substitute item. Etsy and PayPal fees are not refundable however.
Additional policies and FAQs
I am often asked if I am able to do wholesale orders, it is hard to compete with the mass produced jewellery here on this site, our Etsy prices are low already considering the rare nature and quality we deliver, so wholesale is not going to be a huge discount.

I have been very happy to become a part of Etsy, and I hope you enjoy looking at my store, thanks for reading through all this!!
