My name is Jocelyn and I have been living in Dubai with my family since 1993. I learned to knit in 2007 and have completely fallen head-over-heels in love with the craft! My husband and children tolerate my craziness and in fact even help me every now and then with re-skeining and thinking up names of colourways.

I have been dyeing since 2009. I received some very sound advice from some of my most admired dyers and along with what I learned from Ravelry and the knitting community, I ventured into the art of hand-dyeing yarn.

I use Jacquard acid dyes for all my yarn featured here as it is colour-fast and produces some very rich, saturated colours.

I try and document each batch so that I can repeat colourways if necessary, but some of them will be OOAK (one-of-a-kind) colourways.

CUSTOM ORDERS
I accept custom dye orders for up to 4 skeins per yarn base. Contact me if you have a particular colour that you would like to see in one of my yarn bases.

I hope you like what you see. Convo me if you have any questions, suggestions or requests.

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
If you are unhappy with your purchase, send me a message and we will work out a way to resolve it. Your satisfaction is important to me.
Payment
Etsy only accepts Paypal so I'm afraid I don't have other options to offer.

Cancellation of orders must be within 2 days of placing it. I will refund via Paypal immediately.
Shipping
I will ship your order within 7 days after receiving payment, unless there is a major problem somewhere in which case I will contact you right away to let you know of potential delays. I use a courier service so will always require a telephone number to ensure delivery of your order. I am happy to combine shipping on multiple orders.

Please note that some shipping method, such as FedEx might charge you with customs duty. If this happens, contact me right away and I am happy to refund the full amount of customs duty you paid. I know it is a hassle but please know that it is beyond my control when they charge customs duty.
Additional policies and FAQs
>> Want your yarn wound into balls? Let me know in the 'notes to seller' if you would like your skeins wound into center pull balls and I will do so free of charge.

>> Those pesky knots/joins are part of the milling process and you sometimes may find them in a skein. I try my best to leave out the knotty skeins for my own use but if one skips through on an update let me know and I will issue a partial refund. I want to keep my customers happy!

>> Color bleeding is normal for hand dyed yarns. It may take a couple of washings release excess dyes from the yarn. I take special care when setting dyes and I thoroughly rinse the yarns however I've noticed that certain colors seem to bleed more than others. A good idea is to add some distilled white vinegar to your final rinse water, it will stop the bleeding. I also recommend using a gentle wool wash such as Soak, Eucalan, etc, to keep your wool soft and in the best condition possible.

>> I do my best not to fiddle so much with the photographs I put up here and make sure the colours appear as accurately as possible on my computer monitor. However every monitor is calibrated differently and colours may look differently from screen to screen.

>> I hand paint and hand dye using professional acid dyes. My preferred method is single batch dyeing and only do kettle-dyeing on sweater quantity batches.
