About JillAnnHarper

I am a professional artist based in the south east of England. I love bold, striking images and vibrant colour. I find endless inspiration in nature, people, animals and architecture. I have a small art studio at home and it is there that I love to sit in the peace and quiet and paint, where my soul can be still. I agree with Marc Chagall that "art must be an expression of love or it is nothing".

My first exhibition of 2018 took place at The Halpern Gallery in Chatham, as part of a joint venture between Nucleus Arts and the Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust. The exhibition showcased work from a range of Medway artists inspired by the dockyard and the theme, ‘Powerful Tides - 400 Years of Chatham and the Sea'. My next exhibition is entitled 'Sky' and will take place at The Halpern Gallery in Chatham from 17-23 May 2018.

My husband Joe is continuing to make handmade wooden frames for all my paintings so that they arrive ready for you to hang. Each one is carefully crafted from fine quality, sustainable and locally sourced pine. Just let me know if you would prefer a darker wood stain or the frame can be painted white or another colour if you wish.

Thank you for reading my story and for your interest in my work. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Paintings are wrapped in archival tissue paper and polythene. Corner protectors are then added before several layers of bubble wrap. Dependent upon the size of the painting, foam board may also be added as an extra layer of protection. The painting is then placed in a sturdy double-wall cardboard box to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.
