About

Creating the useful and beautiful

I have always had a passion for textiles and creating things by hand. I learned to sew as a child and have been making things with fabric ever since. Now I design, sew, and knit from my studio in Cambridge, MA. I love to incorporate vintage fabrics in my work. My focus is on designing and making simple, useful, and beautiful items.

Every piece in my handmade collection is made by me with great care and attention to detail. Most pieces are made in an edition of 2-3 and many pieces are one-of-a-kind.

In addition to handmade pieces, I offer a vintage housewares collection in my shop. All vintage items are carefully selected by me from various sources in New England. I update my shop frequently with new items, so do check back in!

Shipping
Orders ship 1-3 business days after your payment has been received.

All domestic orders are shipped USPS First class mail, USPS Priority mail or USPS Parcel Post, depending on the size and weight of the package.

Priority Mail includes a delivery confirmation tracking number from USPS, and $50 insurance. First Class and Parcel Post do not include insurance. Please contact me at time of purchase to request that the package be insured, as it needs to be done at the time of shipping.

International orders are shipped USPS air mail international. There is no tracking or insurance for international orders.

I take great care in packing your items to protect them during shipping.
However, Jill Bent Handmade and Vintage is not responsible for any loss or damage during transit.

All shipping and handling costs are priced from the east coast to the west coast and are estimates. Upon request, I will refund an overage when the difference is more than $5 (minus the cost of packing materials and handling) via the payment method you have used.

Occasionally, shipping costs are more than anticipated. If I go to mail your package, and find that the shipping is over the amount that you have paid for, I will notify you with the exact cost of shipping and ask that you pay for the difference before I ship your package. In this case I will send you a shipping adjustment invoice through Etsy, and ship your package as soon as I recieve your payment.
