More than Beautiful - this necklace totally exceeded my expectations. Thanks Jill!
Modern classic jewelry made with exquisite care
I started making and selling jewelry in part because of my frustration with buying jewelry only to see it fall apart within a short time -- even higher-priced pieces! When I make a piece, the number one concern in my mind is that it be done well. This influences everything: how I hand-select my stones and pearls, the care I take in assembling pieces, how I package your order, and the guarantee I offer. I create jewelry that is classic, but with a bit of an edge, whether through the selection of colors, juxtaposition of fine and rough elements, or shapes and size. I am mostly drawn to create new designs, rather than producing multiples of the same design, but I am happy to re-create an older piece if I still have the materials.

I'm a 40-something "Curious Jill" -- I love to learn and try new things, which only occasionally gets me in trouble! I've loved sparkly jewelry since I was a little girl and started making my own about five years ago.
I use two kinds of silver: sterling, which is 92.5% pure, and fine silver, which is 97-99% pure silver. Many of my fine silver beads and findings come from the Karen Hill Tribes of Chiang Mai, Thailand, where artisans have been crafting silver beads for centuries. I only purchase fairly traded, genuine Hill Tribe silver. Sadly, because of the popularity of Hill Tribe silver, the traditional Thai designs are being copied in Chinese factories and sold as the real thing.
All purchases come boxed and ready for gift-giving. Each item also comes with a small piece of anti-tarnish cloth to help keep your silver shiny during storage, a card with more information about the materials used, and care instructions.

Refunds and Exchanges
If your item is damaged in shipping, please keep all packaging and contact me within three days. What we do about it will depend on the nature of the damage -- for example, if I cannot match a broken stone, we will have to discuss an alternative. I will do my best to make it right for you.
Additional policies and FAQs
GUARANTEE: My jewelry is made to last. If you should have any problems within the first six months after purchase (yes, even if your toddler yanks on it or you drop it down the garbage disposal!), I will repair your piece free of charge. All you need do is contact me in advance to arrange shipping. I will cover the return shipping charges. After six months, I charge repair fees which will depend on cost of materials and extent of repairs. I try to keep repair costs very low.
CUSTOMS: I do not handle customs charges. Please be aware of the customs policies for your country and plan accordingly. You may have to pay duty or there may be an additional wait time. I cannot change the customs declaration to "gift" to help you avoid charges, sorry! Please also be aware of any restrictions on items shipping internationally as some countries do not allow certain types of jewelry to be imported.
FYI: We have a dog. His name is Troy, he's a yellow lab, and he rocks. Although I do not let him assist me in any way in the creation or packaging of my jewelry, his hairs have a pesky habit of depositing themselves hither and yon. I do inspect for them but one might slip in. No charge for those. ;)
