Utterly gorgeous set of pearls, elegantly combined and constructed. What a treat for my daughter's birthday! Great communications, wonderful presentation. Definitely be back!

About

Modern classic jewelry made with exquisite care

I started making and selling jewelry in part because of my frustration with buying jewelry only to see it fall apart within a short time -- even higher-priced pieces! When I make a piece, the number one concern in my mind is that it be done well. This influences everything: how I hand-select my stones and pearls, the care I take in assembling pieces, how I package your order, and the guarantee I offer. I create jewelry that is classic, but with a bit of an edge, whether through the selection of colors, juxtaposition of fine and rough elements, or shapes and size. I am mostly drawn to create new designs, rather than producing multiples of the same design, but I am happy to re-create an older piece if I still have the materials.

I'm a 40-something "Curious Jill" -- I love to learn and try new things, which only occasionally gets me in trouble! I've loved sparkly jewelry since I was a little girl and started making my own about five years ago.

I present to you, dear friend, my original jewelry designs. I use top-quality stones and pearls, professionally finished with goldfill, sterling, and fine silver findings. I use genuine natural materials. I may occasionally use a manmade material, such as glass, if I find something fabulous -- if so, I include those details in my descriptions. Some stones are treated for color or stability, which is common and expected for many varieties of gemstones. The pearls I use are often dyed or otherwise treated for color, though if they are naturally colored I will indicate it.

I use two kinds of silver: sterling, which is 92.5% pure, and fine silver, which is 97-99% pure silver. Many of my fine silver beads and findings come from the Karen Hill Tribes of Chiang Mai, Thailand, where artisans have been crafting silver beads for centuries. I only purchase fairly traded, genuine Hill Tribe silver. Sadly, because of the popularity of Hill Tribe silver, the traditional Thai designs are being copied in Chinese factories and sold as the real thing.

All purchases come boxed and ready for gift-giving. Each item also comes with a small piece of anti-tarnish cloth to help keep your silver shiny during storage, a card with more information about the materials used, and care instructions.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
I accept PayPal and credit card payments (which are handled by PayPal, though you do not need a PayPal account for a CC payment).

Payment is expected within three (3) days of purchase. If you're not familiar with Etsy, make sure you complete all the steps of your purchase, as it is easy to overlook the final payment step. If you have any questions at all about how Etsy works, shoot me a convo (conversation) by clicking on "contact JillMacCorkle."

I will reserve pieces by request for up to seven (7) days. Contact me and I will create a reserved listing just for you.

I offer layaway to family, friends, and on a case-by-case basis to other Etsy customers who have excellent buyer feedback and long standing membership on Etsy. Contact me for more information.
Shipping
Please be sure that your confirmed address with PayPal is correct, as that is the shipping address I will use. Shipping is via USPS First Class Mail, which takes 3-7 days domestically. Transit time to Canada and everywhere else is anyone's guess. Shipping charges are listed at the bottom of the page for each item. If you are in the US and need it faster, you can upgrade your entire domestic order to Priority Mail for an additional $3.00 -- simply add "Priority Upgrade" in the "notes to seller" box of your order and I will invoice you for the additional postage. I endeavor to ship items out within 48 hours; I will contact you if I expect any delays. I can arrange local pickup for those of you who live nearby.

All purchases include delivery confirmation.
Refunds and Exchanges
I accept returns and exchanges. To return or exchange an item, please contact me within seven days of receipt (unless you make other arrangements for gift items). Items must be returned in original condition, of course. Earrings that have been tried on cannot legally be resold, so I will have to deduct the cost of replacing the ear wires for earring returns. Refunds are issued upon receipt of the item in original condition, less shipping charges.

If your item is damaged in shipping, please keep all packaging and contact me within three days. What we do about it will depend on the nature of the damage -- for example, if I cannot match a broken stone, we will have to discuss an alternative. I will do my best to make it right for you.
Additional policies and FAQs
CUSTOM WORK: I am happy to create something just for you, with pricing similar to my existing pieces. Whether it's repurposing an existing piece of jewelry or working with you to design something unique, I'd love to work with you. Contact me for details.

GUARANTEE: My jewelry is made to last. If you should have any problems within the first six months after purchase (yes, even if your toddler yanks on it or you drop it down the garbage disposal!), I will repair your piece free of charge. All you need do is contact me in advance to arrange shipping. I will cover the return shipping charges. After six months, I charge repair fees which will depend on cost of materials and extent of repairs. I try to keep repair costs very low.

CUSTOMS: I do not handle customs charges. Please be aware of the customs policies for your country and plan accordingly. You may have to pay duty or there may be an additional wait time. I cannot change the customs declaration to "gift" to help you avoid charges, sorry! Please also be aware of any restrictions on items shipping internationally as some countries do not allow certain types of jewelry to be imported.

FYI: We have a dog. His name is Troy, he's a yellow lab, and he rocks. Although I do not let him assist me in any way in the creation or packaging of my jewelry, his hairs have a pesky habit of depositing themselves hither and yon. I do inspect for them but one might slip in. No charge for those. ;)
