Jilly Designs

Welcome to the Jilly Designs studio!

I began my career as a graphic designer and worked for several years at Hallmark Cards, Inc. as a package designer. During that time I was surrounded by incredibly talented artists that inspired me to break out of the graphic designer mold and pursue my artistic capabilities in different ways. I have always loved designing and handbags so the two came together to evolve into the Jilly Designs handbag brand.

Each and every handbag in my line is created from start to finish by me (Jilly). I design all of my handbag patterns, cut all the materials, and sew each and every handbag.

The Jilly Designs handbag line consists of handbags with a clean and minimalist approach with a touch of vintage style. All of the materials I use are top quality and sewn with great attention to detail.

Returns and exchange details
Jilly Designs creates a beautiful product that is meticulously constructed. It is very important to us that you are completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you would like to return or exchange your product, please contact the Jilly Designs studio to let me know you are returning an item then return it within 7 days after the order is received in the original or similar packaging. The product must be returned in its original, unused condition with all tags attached. Please include a copy of your receipt. For your protection, please return your order with an insured trackable courier. Once the tracking number is obtained please e-mail the number to the Jilly Designs studio. We are not responsible for items that are damaged or lost in transit when shipping back to the Jilly Designs studio. If you are returning your order for a refund, prompt refunds will be credited in the form of the original payment method once the item is received by the Jilly Designs studio (minus shipping charges). All return shipping charges are the responsibility of the buyer. Shipping charges are non-refundable. If you are exchanging an item for another, please allow appropriate time for the creation of your new product since most items are made to order. When exchanging an item for another, the buyer is responsible for the shipping charges. We do not refund merchandise that has been used, damaged or is otherwise non-salable. We do not accept returns or issue refunds on sale items, custom order items or personalized items.

NOTE: All items are handmade by me with top quality materials. Slight differences in color, markings and grain as well as naturally occurring imperfections are all inherent qualities of leather. Please allow for these slight imperfections. Color may vary due to individual monitor settings. If you have any questions please feel free to contact my shop.
The Jilly Designs shop accepts credit card payments through Etsy Payments system (which accepts most major credit cards).
All handbags and accessories are made to order and are typically constructed and ready to ship within 3 to 15 business days (depending on the complexity of the order). Arrival date of any item shipped cannot be guaranteed once the item has been delivered to a postal facility.

International buyers are welcome. Please note that buyers are responsible for any and all duties and customs charges that may be incurred. All orders will be marked as "merchandise" and the full value of the item(s) will be listed on the customs form.

For lost parcels, which rarely occurs, an insurance claim will be filed after a 45 day waiting period for domestic and 60 day waiting period for international locations. Lost claims for shipments sent to Italy require a 70 day wait before filing. All claims must be filed within 90 days. No claims will be honored if filed on or after the 90 day expiration period. The buyer is required to complete all requested documentation from the insurance provider in order to receive a refund or item replacement. Once the claim is filed and accepted through the insurance provider a full refund or replacement will be issued to the buyer.

Claims for damaged or missing items can be filed immediately. Claims must be filed no later than 7 days after receiving item(s). All packaging material and damaged goods must be kept in the original form as received. Packaging and damaged goods should not be disposed of, released to the shipping carrier, or returned to the seller before a claim is completed. The buyer is required to complete all requested documentation from the insurance provider in order to receive a refund or item replacement. Failure to comply can result in the denial of the claim.

Custom orders are welcome. All custom orders must be based on the design style of the Jilly Designs handbag line. Jilly Designs reserves the right to reproduce and sell any custom order design.

All design content in the Jilly Designs shop is the intellectual property of Jilly Designs, even after a purchase, and is protected by United States and International copyright and trademark laws. All images, both original and reproductions, may not be reproduced without the written consent of the Jilly Designs studio.
This Privacy Policy describes how and when I collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from me, contact me, or otherwise use my services through Etsy.com or its related sites and services.

Information I Collect

To fulfill your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorized Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information, if you contact me directly.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:

- Etsy. I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.
- Service providers. I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my shop, such as delivery companies. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
- Business transfers. If I sell or merge my business, I may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law.

Transfers of Personal Information Outside the EU

I may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, I may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. If I am deemed to transfer information about you outside of the EU, I rely on Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer, as Google Cloud is Privacy Shield certified.

- Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me via the Etsy messaging platform.
- Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request.
- Object. You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
- Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
