5 out of 5 starsA beautiful exquisite little pot. The artistry is excellent. After three pots arriving broken from other sellers, I was delighted to see that this artist puts as much love into packing the planter as is put into making it. Much appreciated. I love it. Thanks much.

Little drops of liquid clay adorn many of my pieces.
Texture makes a moment happy.
JLC Pottery was started in the summer of 2014. My work decided to take a turn to a simple yet tactile direction that yearns to be touched. Each piece is thought through and addressed with texture, pattern or imagery that speaks to specific moments throughout one's day. I hope that JLC pottery will add pleasure to a simple moment such as drinking morning coffee and placing a teabag into a small dish or picking a specific piece of fruit out of a large bowl that sits on your counter. Each piece of pottery is designed for everyday use and appreciation while you run your fingers over the altered rim of a soup bowl or fondle the texture dots on the outside of a mug.
I have always been drawn to clay. From the time I took my first ceramics class at the age of 10, I knew that I was hooked. There is something special about holding a handmade object and knowing that someone put time, effort and care into making it just right. Manufactured goods can have design, but they do not have the soul of a handmade thing. I wish for all of my pieces to find a home where their imperfections and uniqueness is appreciated.
I hope that you take the time to favorite my shop and some pieces that you enjoy. Maybe give yourself or someone you care about the gift of a handmade piece to enjoy the simple moments of your daily routine.
I love to see where my pieces end up, so please follow me on Instagram and tag your new piece with @JLCPottery (http://instagram.com/jlcpottery/)
