About

High quality copper wind chimes and unique copper wall art.

I have been a full time, self-taught, copper artist for 25 years in Stuart, FL. I exhibit and sell my work at art festivals, local markets and online. Before this time I spent several years working in photofinishing, printing, a frame gallery and a few odd jobs. During these years I expressed my artistic side by working on creative projects at home, but I was not finding my full expression, fulfillment and potential through my occupations.

After 18 years I finally realized the solution was to begin my own business putting my artistic talents to work. I found there was a need for a durable, good sounding and aesthetically pleasing wind chime and began creating high quality wind chimes, which I named Thunderbird Chimes. Over the years I wanted to be more expansive with my artistic creations and in 2006 I began working on wall sculptures applying techniques and processes I had learned over the years working with copper.

Copper is a wonderful medium to work with. It has great versatility in it's ability to be transformed with heating, hammering and chemical reactions. It is also very durable and has a nice warm energy, which is the main reason I chose it as a medium.

Even though being a self-employed artist is not the easiest job in the world, doing the work of five people, I would not give it up for anything. I love being an artist. The ultimate reward is when someone appreciates my work enough to purchase it and give it a new home.

I take pride in creating quality art work using high quality materials. Every effort is made to package and ship it to you so it arrives in perfect condition. To save on our natural resources, when available I use recycled boxes and packing materials.

PLEASE NOTE: All pieces are created by hand, so no two items are identical. That's the beauty of the artwork! Each piece is a true original. Please allow for slight variances from what is shown in the made to order photos. Also, even though I have made the best effort to represent colors accurately and honestly, the color calibration of computer monitors can vary, so allow for some variations.

Returns and exchanges

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)

Returns and exchange details
Merchandise (excluding custom work) can be returned for any reason within 30 days of the shipping date for an exchange or refund. Merchandise returned in good, original condition will receive a full purchase price refund less a 3.5% restocking fee. Original shipping charges are not refundable. Merchandise that is not defective or damaged when you receive it and returned in damaged or unsatisfactory condition will be subject to a 25% reduced refund. If the merchandise is not defective, damaged or in error when you receive it, you are responsible to pay the cost to return it. If possible, return in the original packing boxes using reasonable care to protect the merchandise from damage during shipment. Please consider insuring your return. We are not responsible for lost or misdirected returns. A credit will be applied to your account within 48-72 hours after the merchandise is received.

Payment is due at time of purchase and can be made with the following SECURE PAYMENT OPTIONS:

Etsy keeps your payment information secure. Etsy shops never receive your credit card information.

Non completion of payment at checkout will result in relisting and a file claimed with Etsy within 48 hours.
Shipping
All items shipped via USPS in the CONTINENTAL USA ONLY. USPS Priority for small packages and USPS Standard Ground for large packages . All items are insured through USPS.

SHIPPING ORDERS: Orders are filled as they are placed, and every effort will be made to ship it within the next 1-3 business days (excludes holidays and weekends) after receipt/clearance of payment. A shipping conformation email will be sent when the order has shipped.

Orders are usually processed between 8:00 am-5:00pm EST.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We do NOT process ANY orders over the weekend.

DELIVERY TIMES: Vary from 1 to 7 business days depending how far the shipping destination is from my location in Stuart, FL.
