About

Contemporary Fine Art & Prints

J. M. Culver is a contemporary figurative artist that creates psychological narratives with universal themes. She explores figuration and abstraction through a combination of painting and drawing. Prominent themes in her work are the transitory nature of memory, social dynamics, and personal allegories that give an intimate and tangible glimpse into the human psyche.

Culver attended Syracuse University in NY for graduate studies and holds a BFA in painting from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. She is a former gallery director and curator. She actively exhibits her work, which is held in private collections internationally. Culver lives and works in Minneapolis, MN.

A non-refundable half deposit is required for commissions. This is to cover the use of materials and time I've already spent starting your commission. We can discuss if you would like any minor revisions made to your satisfaction. Major changes are subject to an additional charge for time.

The buyer is responsible for letting me know if there is a specific deadline for the artwork to be completed. Otherwise, I will communicate directly with the buyer to let them know what my current schedule will allow to complete the commission. Since I work full-time in my art studio, I am usually flexible with my turn around for completed commissions. Drying time may vary and I will contact you for updates and when the commission will be ready to shipping or local pick-up.
