Announcement    Welcome! I really hope that you like my work, small scale in size, precious and timeless.
Living in the heart of Exmoor, England I can enjoy the natural world, with gentle rolling landscapes and fossil rich beaches to comb, there is time to enjoy the peace and beauty of living in a rural area.

I mainly work with copper that is formed and planished using traditional techniques passed down from my father James Horrobin ,of which some of his work is now available though my website.

Adding Vitreous enamel, it transforms the copper into a rich display of textural designs and patterns, I mainly use the sgraffito technique which is layering on and scraping back, and then firing in a small kiln at 800 degrees. Its all hot work!

My inspiration comes from many places, the environment I live in, the interest in the relationships between objects/ people, and my desire to see things from new perspectives. Our natural world had billions of beautiful things, and my hope is to, in some small way capture something of that.

Do also take a look at my website as there is a different selection of work.
