About

The artist, Sylvia Hahn, once told me "Paint what you know, paint what you love". I have used her advice like a mantra in my artistic life.

I like to think everyone has a box of treasures, or a drawer - - small special things they keep tucked away. A smooth, flat stone. An old coin. A tarnished skeleton key. A feather, perhaps?! ;)
My Etsy shop began when I started painting some of my own small treasures. I set a goal to paint something new every night. Feather studies have become my most popular item.

Etsy has brought great opportunities that keep me inspired to work harder, paint more and be myself!

I think I was born an artist. I grew up in an idyllic, country town, surrounded by rolling farmland, forests and lakes. My loving, supportive parents encouraged me to follow my dreams, so I did!

Hey, there! My hope is that my art will move you in some way. If you can see the importance in the little things - - taking a moment to see the beauty in a feather, a shiny stone, the smell of freshly cut grass on a summer day...well, you get it!

The image conveyed digitally online cannot capture the subtleties and details of the original, so if you like what you see, you'll love the actual artwork even more! Some colours may be more vibrant in person, some colours may appear different than they are on screen.
