About

every image has a story...

I grew up in New England, but lived in New York and California prior to settling in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with my family. My studio is housed in a civil war era barn that we moved onto our property and renovated. I love living and creating amongst such rich history and am inspired by it everyday.

Formerly, I worked as a film and video editor manipulating moving images and sound as a means to tell a narrative. Though I now create with a different kind of media, it's still about telling a story. My work is primarily paper based and each ‘focal’ features vintage images selectively culled and curated from a variety of vintage sources such as postcards, books, playing cards, for example, that are carefully preserved in resin.

I revel in the beauty of vintage graphics, packaging and images: the offbeat, the traditional, the discarded. Bringing them to a new life in a modern context while honoring their history is what fuels my inspiration and drives my design.

Want to know more about my studio and process? I was honored to have been featured on Etsy's blog series 'Inspiring Workspaces' - find the story here:

to joeyfivecents…

All of my jewelry is handmade and one of a kind. Each piece is diverse and unusual, and the wearer’s experience should be fun and conversational.

I use both modern and vintage reclaimed images and seal them to be water resistant, however, they are not waterproof. Please don’t immerse pendants in water or wear them in the shower.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
I accept credit card and PayPal payments. If I do not receive payment or notice of a payment on the way within one week, I will need to cancel your order. I always email first to check, but will go ahead and cancel if I do not hear back within a day or two of this notification.

Please note that I am required by law to collect state sales tax from Pennsylvania residents. This is calculated within PayPal when you complete the payment process. This will be a flat rate charge of 6% for all PA residents.
Shipping
I ship domestically but will consider international if you convo me first.

Most shipments are done via etsy's shipping service, so there will be a delivery confirmation number for tracking information. These will be emailed to you l. I generally ship by the next day of your order unless otherwise stated and via first class mail. If you need your purchases to arrive more quickly, please send me a message and I can ship it sooner and/or I can send you a revised invoice for a shipping upgrade.

I usually ship to the address provided through Etsy. Please provide matching shipping addresses for Etsy and PayPal to be sure your items arrive at the intended address. I am happy to ship items to gift recipients, just let me know the desired shipping address and I will include a gift tag as well.

If you absolutely want to guarantee receipt of your package and/or be reimbursed for mailing mishaps, I strongly suggest you request insurance.
Refunds and Exchanges
Please ask questions before you buy. Each item is individually handmade and one of a kind. I try to show and describe all aspects and angles of each piece with photos and words. If, however, you are genuinely dissatisfied with your item or have issues with quality or workmanship, please let me know within three days of receipt. I will be happy to correct any problems as long as you mail it back in its original condition and packaging within 14 days. If I can’t fix the problem, then an exchange or refund can easily be arranged.

If you would like to exchange your product because you see something else listed that you like instead- I can work that out too. However, you will need to pay the postage for the return and the exchange.
Additional policies and FAQs
I will be happy to leave positive feedback, and always appreciate it if you do the same for me.

If you have a problem with anything you buy from me, please convo me and I'll do my best to correct the situation.
