This is a gorgeous headband! It is thick enough to take the chill off in the cold, but thin enough to wear indoors without feeling uncomfortable.

About

Jojoba-what-what?

I started Jojobanana on etsy way back in 2007, when hardly anyone had heard of it etsy. Back then, I was mostly into making jewelry, and I started Jojobanana as an attempt to sell some of my pieces.

Since then, my efforts have shifted to a focus on fiber creations. About eight years ago, I re-learned how to knit and also learned how to crochet. It was love at first stitch (well okay, the first stitches were a bit frustrating, but I kept going because I was determined to figure it out). Now my yarn stash is quite significant (what? a knitter has to have options....), I am rarely without some sort of knit or crochet project, and I have sold my work both in various shops and here on my etsy shop. It is very fulfilling to do something you enjoy and see your hard work appreciated by others. I am very grateful for etsy, for it has provided me with a place to sell my things as well as function as a springboard for my creative endeavors.

My style? Well, I am drawn toward bright colors and whimsical things, and I think that comes out in my work. I like to think that my pieces bring a little bit of happiness to those that wear or use them. I want my creations to make people feel special, like they can take on the world, like nothing is more important than this day.

How did I come up with the name for my shop? I honestly think I just typed it up and it sounded good, so I went with it. But it's sort of a combination of two of my nicknames too, so it's a reference to my own name, but with a cute/confusing spin.

Hope you like the shop!
Drop me a line if you have any questions!

Each item in my store is already made and ready to mail. What you see is what you get. If I don't have it, I don't list it! However, I love to fill custom orders too! Please message me if you'd like to request a custom item, or if you'd like a variation on something I have in my shop.

I love experimenting with various styles-- you never know what you'll find in my store! I welcome suggestions and love to fill custom orders. Just send me a message.

I am a big supporter of local and small businesses, handmade items, and sustainable living. I buy all of my yarn from local shops and try to recycle as much as I can. The greatest thing about buying something handmade is that your item is (almost always) 100% unique; no-one else will have the exact same thing! Since we are all individuals, buying handmade is a great way to express individuality. Go boldly against the grain, or blend in beautifully with your own flair. It's the little things that make a difference. Thank you for supporting this wonderful market!

Payment
I accept payments through PayPal, direct checkout with your credit card or etsy gift card, or money order.

Please remember that I must receive payment before shipping your items.
Shipping
All orders ship out by USPS First-Class Mail by default. This typically takes 2-5 business days to reach the customer (from the date your order was mailed). If you would like to receive your item faster, please purchase the Priority Mail Shipping Upgrade (found listed in my shop items). Priority mail is not guaranteed but takes around 1-3 business days for domestic shipping. For other mailing options, please contact me before purchasing. Overnight (Express Priority) shipping is available in most cases, but costs quite a bit more.

For the sake of simplicity, I list all of my orders with the shipping to the US and Canada only, but I WILL ship to other countries. If you live outside the US or Canada and would like to purchase something, please send me a message and I will create a custom listing with the adjusted international shipping.

If I overcharge you on shipping by more than $2, I will refund the extra cost through Paypal or direct checkout on Etsy.

Please allow 1-3 days handling after payment is received. I try to ship each order as soon as possible.

I use some recycled materials when I wrap and ship my items.
Refunds and Exchanges
In the event that an item is lost in the mail (hasn't happened yet, knock on wood!), I will do my best to replace the item. Since all of my items are one-of-a-kind and most are made without patterns, the remade item might not be exactly the same as the originally-purchased item.

I do not accept returns. My work is high-quality and I do my best to ensure that the created products will last a good amount of time and are described accurately through listing descriptions and pictures. However, I want you to be happy with your purchase! If you have a problem with something you purchased in my shop, please contact me and I will do what I can to make things right.
