Excellent transaction. Jonathan was very helpful in determining what matte size I'd need to make this fit into a standard size frame. He's quite personable and is happy to answer any questions about his work. Best of all, the print is STUNNING: the online image simply doesn't do it justice. The paper used is highest quality, and looks every bit like an original. Just know that whatever print you like, you will like it ten times more in person. Gorgeous. Thanks, Jonathan.

I was going to write of the beauty and craft of this artist's work that brings me back to buy more, but you can see that for yourself so I will write the other things that make this seller so special. He communicates kindly and helpfully. His print process is so fine that the colours, lines, quality of paper and printing are like an original. His packaging is careful and safe and strong. He responds and posts quickly. Nothing I ask seems to be too much trouble for him. If this artwork sings to you, then buy, and you will be so glad you did.

another beauty - really I want to buy everything in the shop but I don't have enough walls... thank you Jonathan, again.
It's taken me a while -- three or four decades, or thereabouts -- to know what it is that I'm doing, when I do art. Today, it all comes down to this: I look at the human form, and I see: We Are Beautiful. We humans. Yah, sure, I know ugly we can get, in our shapes and our actions. But that's because somehow a fundamentally beautiful thing has gotten twisted. So when I do drawings and paintings and such, figurative work, I'm rejoicing in this essential beauty that I see in the human being. I'm returning to a well that's never empty, and getting a life-giving drink. And sharing it.
The landscape almost always gets in there, because that, too, is just heartbreakingly beautiful -- the Earth we're so lucky to call home.
My first love is line, which is why most of my paintings are first done in pen and ink. But those lines are usually done on watercolor paper, and then I can add watercolors, and maybe acrylics -- if needed. I usually do the initial layout in pencil, right on the final paper, without any preliminary studies. I've given years to the study of artistic anatomy, and I don't use models for my figures, and I don't consult anatomy references or photographs much, any more.
Here and there in my store you will also see linoleum block prints, etchings and oil paintings, because sometimes things have to be done like that.
My original paintings and relief prints and, more recently, my fine art prints, have sold to collectors in many, if not most, of the United States, as well as collectors in China, Sweden, Australia, the UK, and elsewhere.
