We signed up for PayPal's "BILL ME LATER". If a buyer qualifies they would have up to six months to pay off any purchase over $99. Select Pay Pal and then "Bill Me Now" option at checkout.

We have everything from giant plywood paintings to little 4x4 inch mini canvases, handmade greeting cards to 11x17 inch prints, wild elephants to weird aliens!

Gaylord Perry is a self taught artist. Over four decades ago she couldn't afford what was then art supplies. And acrylic paint wasn't available to the general public. So she went to paint stores, namely Mark Whistler's store, in Haines City, and collected leftover pigments as well as latex white and black paint. Gay would mix her own colors. Her media, some found by good friend, David Talbot, was any surface that would hold paint, like plywood, wooden window shutters, or even press board. Her brushes were any she could scrounge up.

Gay's pieces of artwork depict giraffes, flamingos, tree frogs, pandas, lions, tigers, owls, and more! Most are on 11x14 or 16x20 or 24x30 inch stretched canvas. Others are rendered on various sizes of plywood. All are very cool!

Wildlife scenes and Florida settings are a few of Gaylord's specialties.

Jack Burney graduated from Valencia Community College in Orlando, Florida, with an Associate In Art degree. He specialized in graphite drawings. Along came computers and websites. Jack soon learned the basics of html (2003's basics, not today's.) Gay and Jack did some sellling on eBay. Soon they had their images on Zazzle.com. Zazzle is a publisher of a multitude of products like mugs, prints, keychains (you name it, they produce it.) A bit after that they had art on Redbubble.com (a company similar to Zazzle.) Years later they would find Etsy. They have sold three paintings so far with the hopes of more.

Jack specializes in digital art (even though he does do graphite drawings once in a blue moon) in the sizes of 8.5x11 and 11x17. The subject matter of his work includes aliens, entities, anomalies, space-scapes, and more.

For some beautiful, thoughtful and 100% handmade and original greeting cards, coasters, mini canvas acrylic paintings, sea grape paintings and more, visit Sharon Creedon's Etsy.com shop "Leas Treasures"!

I really like the print, otherwise it'd be less stars. It showed up in terrible condition. Was put into a bubble envelope with "do not bend" written on it, but it was completely bent in half and torn in the corner. Maybe consider different packaging? like a cardboard tube? EDIT: the store refunded my money and sent me a more carefully packaged replacement. Thanks so much, it's perfect!

About

Haines City Couple Loves To Sell Art

We started our Etsy shop in November of 2010. We built our own website in 2003, Jones Ave Artwork. We sold a painting in 2005 to a lady in England. Today it is, more or less, a jump point to our other websites.

About eight years ago we joined Zazzle.com. It is a publisher of dozens and dozens of products, t-shirts, assorted sizes and types, mug, keychains, hats, tote bags, even shoes, skateboards, speakers, and an array of others. We've had some success here. But the percentages we receive are low.

We have also been on eBay and Redbubble.com (a website similar to Zazzle.)

We have high hopes for Etsy. And are experiencing success with it. We currently have approximately 82 acrylic paintings, mini canvas paintings, greeting cards, and digital prints for sale. And are always adding new ones. Our feedback is 13, 100% positive.

We are no longer at The Red Lion Pub & Restaurant in Lake Hamilton, Fl. We are uncertain as of this time where the next painting classes will be held. As soon as we know we will let you know.

Gaylord's Paintings:

Essentially all of Gaylord's paintings will be unframed. You will have to get them framed yourselves. Or you can put a nail or screw in a wall and hang them on that. We've done a few of them that way around here! There's nothing wrong with that, especially if you live in an old house like we do! Or you can string a wire across the plywood painting and throw 'em up on that wall!
