Really pleased with how well the colour came out on my Foggintor poster. Just packing up some for a new order.
All change! Recycled Words Art is now known as Jon Stubbington Art. Same shop, same great products, now with a brand new name.

Hi! I'm Jon.

I am an artist and illustrator, living and working in the beautiful South West of England.

I make colourful artwork for people who love the landscapes of Devon and beyond.

My Devon and Dartmoor art offers a bright, bold, and stylish souvenir of a trip to the moor, or a walk along the coast. I seek out colourful and creative designs to capture the spirit of these special places. Places enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.

It is important to me that the landscapes I love are also looked after. That is why I use 100% recycled paper and card, biodegradable sleeves, and environmentally-conscious print companies. My t-shirts and tote bags are made from 100% organic cotton and are produced by a print company using sustainable methods.

My FAQs answer some of the questions you may have about how I run my business and the companies I choose to work with. Please get in touch if you have a question I haven't answered.

Thank you for finding Jon Stubbington Art and supporting my work. I hope you're really happy with your purchases from my shop.

Frequently asked questions
How sustainable is the material used to make the cards?

My card is supplied by Eco-Craft, a company who I am keen to support because I believe they are doing business in the right way, offering greener products than their standard counterparts.

Each card comes pre-creased and cut to the correct size, so there is no wastage from trimming. I use the whole piece of card.

I use two of their card finishes: eco-natural and white (both at 300 gsm). Both use 100% post consumer paper, sourced from the EU, and are bleached using non-chlorine bleaches. The eco-natural card has a "natural" grey colour, which works really well with some of my designs and offers something a little out of the ordinary.

What packaging do you use?

My cards and A4 prints are all packaged in a clear sleeve made from corn starch. These biodegradable bags are also supplied by Eco-Craft. They are fully compostable and should break down in around 45 days.

I am not currently able to source biodegradable sleeves that are large enough for my range of A3 prints. Instead, these are rolled and shipped in a recycled cardboard tube.

Cards and A4 prints are usually posted flat in (recycled and recyclable) board-backed envelopes. (Alternative packaging may be used for larger orders of cards.)

How are your products made?

All of my designs are created by me. Some are created in pen on paper, some are drawn entirely digitally in Photoshop, and some are a combination of the two.

All designs end up as a digital file which is then turned into the final product, whether it be a greeting card, print, or a piece of clothing.

I print the greeting cards myself, here at home in Devon.

My posters are printed by a sustainable print company. I then package and send the prints to you.

My t-shirts and bags are printed on-demand by a specialist print company in Lancashire. They package and post them straight to you.

If you have any questions about the production process, please drop me a message and I will be happy to help.

Who produces your prints?

My A4 posters are printed by Ashley House Printing Company in Exeter and my A3 posters are printed by A Local Printer, an eco printing specialist.

After completing a piece, I send the final image to the printer. They print it onto recycled paper using eco friendly digital printers. The posters are then shipped back to me to be packaged, ready for distribution.

I have chosen these companies because of their commitment to sustainability and printing in an environmentally-conscious way.

A few of my designs are printed on-demand, meaning that the request is sent to the printer when you place your order. These follow exactly the same production method described above.

Who produces your t-shirts and bags?

My range of clothing and bags are printed by Inkthreadable in Blackburn.

After completing a design, I pass the final image to Inkthreadable. When you order a garment through this shop, that order is sent to Inkthreadable. They print my design onto your chosen item using water-based inks that are environmentally certified. Inkthreadable then package your item and send it straight to you.

I have chosen Inkthreadable because they offer a range of 100% organic cotton garments and are committed to sustainability and printing in an environmentally-conscious way.
