A Shop Created by Request

I've been creating fun and interesting things my entire life, but in the last couple of years I saw more and more interest in them as I fine-tuned my abilities. I taught myself how to crochet first, then added in cross stitch, then embroidery. I began posting my pieces in fan groups I'm a part of, as well as on my social media accounts, and the requests to purchase became overwhelming. I also started receiving requests for custom pieces. I knew opening an Etsy shop was the best way for me to put my items in the hands of the people who loved them while also maintaining total creative control.

All of my pieces are designed by me, I do not and will not copy and sell the designs of other artists. All items are hand made, and take between several and hundreds of hours to complete, depending on the intricacy. I'm inspired by the things I love: Harry Potter, The Office, Parks and Recreation, Arrested Development, and swearing; as well as all things snarky. I also love my state, and the Seattle area, so you'll see those crop up as well.

When you buy one of my pieces you are paying not only for talent and expertise I've honed over many years, but also for large amounts of my time and effort. It is a labor of joy and love, not of profit.

I'm a wife, and mom of 3. I've been creative and crafty my entire life, but have really elevated my talents in the last 5 years. After an overwhelming request for some of my pieces, I decided to open an Etsy shop and send them out into the world.

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders

I do offer this option! I require an agreement be reached regarding content, cost, and maximum time for creation. Please message me and let me know what you're looking for!

Are the back of your cross stitch/embroidery pieces finished?

Absolutely. Jewelry pieces are generally a wood backing. Pieces in hoops are backed with felt, or sometimes a combination of aida wrapping/piping. My goal is to assure that if you were to buy this as a gift, they would find the entire piece neat and attractive, back and front. I leave no loose ends. For specifics on the piece you're interested in, send me a message!

Do you do machine embroidery in your pieces?

Absolutely not. Every stitch is done by hand, and my designs are unique and hand made by me as well. I feel that machine stitching creates a look that is too polished. I prefer for my pieces to look handmade, in a way that is attractive but would assure that anyone seeing it would know your artwork was not purchased in a department store or mall.

Care instructions

The vast majority of my crochet pieces are made with fabric that is machine washable and able to be tumble dried, color safe and shrinkage proof. In the rare event that this is not the case for your piece, you will find that information in the ad itself.

Cross stitch and embroidery pieces cannot be cleaned, just as you would be unable to clean a painting. I starch pieces to ensure *some* durability, but intricate and/or 3 dimensional aspects are particularly fragile to any handling. Pressure on the cloth can cause dimpling or rippling on the front, or for the backing to come loose. I cannot guarantee color fastness of threads used if they are allowed to become wet.

Gift wrapping and packaging

If you are gifting for a specific occasion, I can usually use appropriate wrapping. If not specified to me, I will wrap in neutral paper and ribbon. Send me a message immediately after purchase letting me know specifics, as well as what you would want a To/From gift card to indicate.
