Every Girl Needs a Joujou
One day I decided I wanted to make a necklace. How does one start to make a necklace? I spent way too much time in the store trying to put together a brilliant idea, not knowing what tools or materials I'd even need. I came home that night, worked for hours upon hours, had no clue what I was doing and finally ended up with a necklace I was very proud of. I wore it the next day. Everyone thought I bought the necklace at Anthropologie.
I can't tell you what a confidence boost that was! I was shocked to hear people say that. I kept making more, just for me, my mom, sister...you know, the people closest to me. I kept getting amazing complements on them, and friends were encouraging me to start selling them. My husband was the biggest encouragement, constantly telling me I have a real talent, and every girl out there needs a Joujou! I need to give them that opportunity. Joujou Papillon was born.
Since that first Joujou, I taught myself different skills and am constantly learning. I've made so many, sold a number of them here on Etsy, at local street fairs and even off my neck. Joujou Papillon is still a small business in our little corner of the world, but I continue to follow my heart and stay true to who I am and who I want to be.
I work full time, assist my husband with his photography business (www.mattmuncie.com), and squeeze in time for writing my blog and making jewelry as often as I can. We lead a busy life here in San Diego, but we love it.

Hi, I'm Ang. I do pretty much everything around here, except for when I just can't quite bend that crazy thick metal, I call in reinforcements. I've been seriously making jewelry for four years, but have been a Creative all my life.
