Jovan Kassab, creator of the Jovan Jane label, has a creative style for those who want a standout look.
Before Jovan Jane, Kassab earned her degree in journalism and wrote for Style Magazine, Hour Detroit, The Detroit Free Press, Six Degrees Magazine, 944 and The Chaldean News. “In 2011, my love for my Michigan & Detroit sport teams led me to add team spirit designs to the Jovan Jane headwear collection. Who says you can't be girly, stylish and love sports?” When it comes to her personal style, Kassab is constantly changing it up. “I can be classic, trendy, preppy and sporty all in one week,” states Kassab. "I have fun with it."
Kassab isn't just attracting the girl next door. Her accessory line has also attracted Jeremy Piven of HBO's Entourage, who gave her the approval to design two fedoras in his name in conjunction to his foundation. Other celebrities include Tyra Banks, as a part of her “Best Of Accessories,” Rocsi Diaz from Entertainment Tonight, Sydney Fashion Blogger, Giuliana Rancic from E! News, Kathy Wakile, Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice from The Real Housewives of New Jersey, to name a few. Her designs have been featured in national publications as PEOPLE and InStyle.
"When I am not creating my masterpieces, I keep my finger on the pulse of local fashion as the Style File Expert for WJBK FOX 2 News-Detroit. It's the go-to resource on the latest tips, trends and must-have items that you need to know about." In March of 2012, Kassab was asked and agreed to be the live video blogger for Fashion In Detroit, an event co-hosted by Project Runway's Joe Faris and Ambassador Magazine publisher and jewelry designer, Denise Ilitch, whose father respectively owns the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Red Wings.
Kassab stands behind her motto: “Life is too short to dress boring. You can transform any outfit into something fun by adding the right accessory—and a smile.”
