We strive to spread joy by giving individual attention to every creation and by using top quality materials here at JoyBilee. Many of our items are made with imported fabric from Japan, all are handmade by us.

Accepted payment methods

We accept payment via PayPal and money order. Items are shipped once payment in full is received. Payment by PayPal is required within 72 hours if paying by PayPal. Payment by money order must be received within 5 business days of notification of the total amount due (see below). If payment is not received within these timelines, the transaction will be canceled and the item will be re-listed.

Washington state residents will be charged appropriate sales tax (e.g. Seattle, 9.0%). PayPal automatically adds the amount to all Washington addresses, so you will notice this added charge when you complete the PayPal step, but it will not be reflected in your Etsy checkout amount. If you are paying by money order, we will calculate the amount and convo you within 72 hours of your purchase to provide total amount due.

If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us within 48 hours of when your order was placed. Cancellations made within 48 hours will be accepted so long as the order has not been shipped. We may consider other cancellation requests on a case-by-case basis.
Items are shipped no later 7-10 business days from date payment is received.

We ship via First Class US mail. Shipping is limited to USPS service availability and/or restrictions. Expedited shipping (Priority or Express Mail) , shipping insurance and delivery confirmation/tracking are available for domestic delivery upon request, and for an additional charge. Please convo us if you prefer any of these shipping upgrades.

Shipping confirmations are sent out via email.

Quoted shipping rates apply to domestic addresses only. Please convo us for international rates and any other rates and requirements that fall outside the standard domestic postage rates i.e. APO and AFO addresses.
Refunds and Exchanges
Refunds are made in accordance with our Cancellation Policy. Unfortunately, we do not refund for items lost in transit. Please see our Shipping Policy for shipping upgrades (insurance).

Custom orders may not be returned. However, we do want you to be pleased with your item, so if it is possible to alter the existing item, we will do our best. Shipping costs to return the item to us and then re-send it our are the buyer’s responsibility. Timelines for alterations are subject to availability.

All policies apply to new, unused and unworn items only.

Each of our items is unique and handmade. Sewing and creating brings us joy, which we hope to share with you.

All of our items are made with attention to detail in a non-smoking environment. Our homes are dog-friendly, so we can't say that we are a pet-free studio, however we do not allow our pets into our work areas.

Unless otherwise stated in the item listing, we do not pre-wash our fabrics in order to avoid sensitivities/allergies to soap, etc. See individual listings for care instructions.

We aim to use eco-friendly packaging for all our orders. We do, however, use tyvek envelopes for shipping - it's just too risky (wet) not to when shipping from the Pacific Northwest.
