Happy with this purchase. The item arrived in good time in a secured package. Great communication with the seller. This is a beautiful piece of handwoven art.

Fabulous shawl with ample length. It is so beautiful I am tempted to use it as a table runner. Great presentation in the wrapping - I am currently wearing the charming bow clip that came with it. Thank you!
Joy Did It
That's what my sisters always said - "Joy did it!" My dad suggested I use it for my freelance design business. No longer a designer, the name has stuck.
I am a fiber geek. A textile nerd. I spin, weave, dye, reproduce ancient and historical textiles and document for fun. I absorb information about fibers and love to experiment.
I started dyeing silk scarves as a result of a weaver's guild workshop and became interested in the Japanese art of shibori. I love the randomness of colors and the resulting patterns from the folds. I am trying to learn how to do different types of shibori and really enjoy arashi shibori, the shibori named after thunder for resembling the driving rains.
I have been dyeing scarves since 2010. However, I have been spinning and weaving since 1988 and crocheting since 1979. I hope that I can transition from code monkey (my day job) to follow my textile passion full-time some day.
