joyjoie's Shop Policies
Welcome to the serious part of the shop. The following policies are to help us have a smooth transaction so that you can get as much joy from your joyjoie creations as I have had in making them.
Payment for Joyjoie purchases is via Direct Checkout or PayPal. Please arrange payment within 72 hours of posting your order.
Please advise of any payment issues within this period if they arise.
Non payment will result in the item being re-listed as a cancelled order.
All items are made to order and are shipped the next day after the item is completed according to the time requirement listed on the item description. When you place you order Etsy gives you an estimated postage date based on the processing times for the item you ordered. Processing times are available for each listing near the top of the shipping and policies tab.
Please note that using the Express Post option make the time spend in transit with Australia Post shorter but does not impact the lead time for making your item. Should you require faster turnaround please contact me via convo to discuss a rush order.
SHIPPING WITHIN AUSTRALIA (DOMESTIC)
Standard shipping used by joyjoie within Australia is via Australia Post and may be Regular Post, Registered Post (this requires signature on delivery) or Express Post.
If Express Post is required please use this option at checkout.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING (OUTSIDE AUSTRALIA)
Shipping Internationally postage and insurance costs vary by country so please contact me for a shipping quote for any item you would like to purchase.
Any fees such as those imposed by customs or quarantine including taxes, tariffs, duties, country entry charges, etc for items shipped internationally are the responsibility of the customer. Please make yourself aware of any potential fees and changes you may incur on importing the product as we do not take responsibility for this aspect of your purchase. Returns will not be accepted due to customs fees.
Refunds and Exchanges
Care is taken in the packaging of your items however for peace of mind I advise insurance for each item as I am not responsible for shipping errors such as items lost or damaged in transit. Please ask if you would like to add insurance to your postage.
It is always my best endeavour to describe and photograph the items in the joyjoie shop such that you can be sure of your purchase. I do understand that sometimes a return is required and in the event that you would like to return the item for a refund please notify me within seven days of receipt of the item. Any costs incurred in returning the item such as postage and insurance will be the responsibility of the purchaser. The refund (less actual postage paid to ship the item if it has been posted) will be processed within 7 days of when the item is received by me in its original condition so I recommend you use registered or express post platinum for the additional security this provides.
Custom made items with personalisations or other special requests cannot be refunded unless faulty. I personally make and test each teepee prior to postage to mitigate the risk of fault.
Items lost in the post will unfortunately not be able to be refunded. If the item was insured I will be happy to make you another item once the claim is paid, where possible an exact copy will be made otherwise (for limited edition fabrics) a mutually agreed alternative will be made.
In the unlikely circumstance that the item I ship is left unclaimed by the buyer and finds its way back to me I will make best endeavours to contact the buyer and if this fails I will refund the buyer the purchase price less the actual shipping cost or shipping fee, whichever is higher (given that I did post the item and it is the responsibility of the buyer to pick it up or receive delivery).
Additional Policies and FAQs
All items are made in a pet/animal free and smoke free home. In some cases the fabric is washed prior to making the item and this will be listed in the item description.
Can you supply poles within Australia?
Absolutely. It will impact the shipping price and necessitate the use of a courier. If you would like the poles included please convo me before you purchase so that I can get a shipping quote from the courier. As the dowel I use is a standard off the shelf item in larger hardware stores it may be more cost effective to purchase the poles locally.
Can you supply poles internationally?
For buyers outside Australia I recommend getting the dowel/poles from a local hardware store. The poles are not possible to send internationally as they are wood and thus come under scrutiny at customs/quarantine and you may have to pay some fees (a situation I am sure you would like to avoid). It would also substantially increase the shipping cost due to the length of the items. I am sorry if this is an inconvenience. I do send you all the specifications you need to buy the poles so that it can be ready to go when your teepee arrives.
