About

Modern rustic pots.

I’m a potter based in the UK. I make a variety of functional pots including jugs, bowls, vases and other homeware items. Working from my own studio, I use a potter’s wheel to hand throw my pots and fire them in my electric kiln. Making small batches of 10 or 20 pots at a time helps keep the forms fresh and gives each pot its own individual character.

I use a range of stoneware clays including a neutral buff, a speckled clay and sometimes a deep brown/black. I’m influenced by a modern rustic style and decorate my pots using simple glaze combinations. Some of my one-off pieces are inspired by natural forms and feature plant and leaf motifs impressed into the soft clay.

My ceramics are designed for everyday use around the home. The glazes are food safe and dishwasher safe – although I recommend washing bigger pots by hand. Please note that my pots have not been tested in microwaves and are unsuitable for use on hobs or in traditional ovens. All my pots are marked with my unique pottery seal.

My aim is to make simple handmade pots that are a pleasure to use.
