My pieces are inspired by history, science fiction, fantasy, and gaming, though that's in no particular order! I got into doing both jewelry and costuming when I was in college and after graduation with my BA in history and anthropology, I decided to turn a hobby into something more.

My work is done by hand and largely in natural stone mixed with metal and glass components. I try very hard to stay away from acrylic and plastic components. I also try to only use genuine Swarovski crystals in my designs--nothing has quite the same fire as they do! Amongst my favorite natural components to work with are moss agate, labradorite, sodalite, aventurine, and pearl.

You'll notice that a lot of my stone-based necklaces aren't shown on a human body: this has to do with my sensitivity to some of my customers in the metaphysically aware community who prefer items whose properties are "untainted" by previous owners. I do, however, test for drape and length before each piece is finished (if it doesn't pass that test, it gets taken apart!).

All of my work comes from a smoke-free house.

Thanks for shopping! I hope you like what you find. Questions are welcome! Just convo me.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits
Returns and exchanges
If an item arrives damaged or defective, simply return it for repair or refund. No refunds after thirty days.
Payment
Payment options include Paypal, check, or money order. I do request payment before I start custom pieces, as they can be hard to resell.

Allow an additional week between payment and shipping time for custom pieces (though I'll often get these turned around faster than that!).

Sales that are not paid for within ten (10) business days (M-F, excluding holidays) of purchase will be cancelled and the items relisted.
Shipping
I do not ship items until payment is received. Items will ship within four days (excluding holidays and weekends) of receiving payment, usually within 1-2 days, depending on time of day the order is received.

I can expedite shipping at cost on request. I use standard USPS shipping (first class mail) for pieces under $35. Pieces over $35 in value will be insured and tracked and may be shipped via UPS or USPS. If you have a preference, please let me know. Keep in mind that UPS is often more expensive than the Postal Service.

International customers are responsible for customs charges. I apologize!

Pendants, earrings, and other very small items will be placed in decorative gift bags and packaged in bubble wrap before shipping in flat envelopes. Necklaces, pins, and similar items will be muslin-wrapped and then packaged in bubble wrap and either placed in an envelope (most pins and other smaller objects) or boxes (necklaces). Apparel will be wrapped, boxed, and shipped. For more information (including images) of how items are shipped, please visit http://www.judeschest.com/?p=101 If you have questions or concerns, feel free to contact me.
Additional policies and FAQs
Since much of my work contains Swarovski lead-based crystals, they are NOT suitable for children. The pewter I use in my designs is lead-safe. Some items containing cloissone beads will contain trace amounts of lead.

Alchemy and custom pieces can be mocked-up upon request and work in progress photos can be provided upon request.
