Fine art photographic prints from Ireland

Making pictures was a big part of my childhood in the 60s and 70s in Northern Ireland. My grandfather was a very good amateur photographer, and amongst my earliest memories are the times we spent in his darkroom, seeing the images appear as if by magic in the tanks of developing fluid, watching Grandpa shade and edit the pictures, and begging to be the one to take the print out with the special tongs and hang it up to dry.

I still remember some of the lessons I learned in Grandpa's darkroom, but I'm otherwise self-taught. I have a full-time job in education and I run my photography business in the spare time that this allows me. Photography is one of the greatest pleasures in my life - there's nothing to match the thrill of capturing an uplifting image, editing it and finally seeing it in print. I hope you'll enjoy seeing some of the things which have caught my eye.

My favourite subjects are plants, landscapes and architectural details. I'm inspired by my home city, Belfast, which is equally gritty and elegant in its beauty. My travels in other parts of Ireland and in North America have also provided some great visual moments.

Please enjoy browsing in my shop, and please do contact me if you've any questions. I love having conversations with people on Etsy - it's such a privilege to be able to make new friends right across the globe.

Refunds and Exchanges
I hope that you'll be delighted with your print. If, however, it arrives damaged or you're not satisfied with the piece, please contact me as soon as possible so that we can work out a resolution. Refunds will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

Please note that computer screens may differ and the colour of the piece on the screen may not look exactly like what you receive. This is because different types of monitors are calibrated differently. Also, any prints with a "soft focus" or texture work (grain, spots, etc.) were created that way on purpose, so please keep that in mind when ordering.
