It's not the normal or traditional shape I want, and I can only hope it's real jade given what I paid for this, however I gua sha for myself with it and it's a way to learn about this technique when I have nothing else to do. Really something a grandmother used to do for her offspring however they're popular, so that should be nice for the public's endorsement of Chinese health practices in the West. I hope whoever else buys these actually studies something about meridians or acupuncture and consults a traditional Chinese doctor unless they know someone personally who maintains that knowledge.
