These are THE most gorgeous potholders. I will be hanging them up in my kitchen just to look at every day- but they are also very functional and well sewn so I'll be using them all the time too. It's so nice to have beautiful, as well as useful, things in the kitchen. Julie Statz Rego Designs

After doing a Textile Art master's project "Banners on Bascom Hill" on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus, I started Banner Arts Studio in 1989. In the 1990's I installed many commercial solid color nylon banner projects in the Midwest.
After relocating to Winsted, CT in 2001 and raising two sons, I have reconnected with my love of solid color fabrics, that are now available in 100% cotton, to create modern quilt patterns. In 2017 I set up my latest sewing studio in Whiting Mills in Winsted, CT, this has allowed me the space to teach, sew, use a long arm quilting machine and display my work.
In my Etsy Shop you will find that my love for Batik Fabrics dominates the functional art pieces I create and sell for home accents.
