Seeking: Creative Outlet.

It all started when Cheryl mentioned that she was not enjoying her job. Jenn was a stay at home mom at the time, and was not feeling fulfilled with cooking and cleaning. We both wanted to create, we just didn't know what! It would need to pay for itself, as both our husbands frowned upon acquiring more hobbies.

At the time, Jenn was a knitter and Cheryl was a Chef dyeing cotton quilt fabric on the side. We talked about a small shift to Cheryl dyeing fiber and yarn and Jenn moving more toward designing for knitters and spinners. Since then, Cheryl has stopped smelling of onions and learned to spin, knit, and felt (wet and needle), and Jenn has practiced her spinning and learned to weave and felt (wet and needle). We feel like we are always trying something new, and that's the way we like it!!

We just needed to decide what to name the company. We decided to use our Parents' names, to thank them for their support and encouragement in pretty much everything we ever wanted to do. We used their middle names, June is our Mother's, and Price is our Father's. we made a small change from Price to Pryce, added the "fiber arts" bit to explain what we do, and June Pryce Fiber Arts was born.

Now we dye yarn, fiber for spinning, and fiber for felting. We knit, spin and design knitting and spinning patterns for kits. We sew project bags, and bead stitch markers. We even got our families involved - Cheryl's husband turns Nostepinnes and other tools, her teenage sons are either turning tools on the lathe or building drum carders. Jenn's sons help sort supplies and put stickers on labels.

Frequently asked questions:

Custom Orders:
Custom orders are most welcome. I love to help make your project unique. If you don't see what you are looking for in my shop, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Custom items cannot be returned unless they are faulty. Postage costs will not be refunded.

Care instructions:
If you have bought hand dyed yarn or knitted items I would suggest hand washing your finished items with a gentle, suitable wool wash.
Hand dyed yarns may, on occasion, 'bleed' into your washing water - this is due to a little excess dye being left over from the dyeing process and should rinse out. If you wish to use a little white vinegar in your rinsing water this can help.

Wholesale availability:
Wholesale orders are welcome. Please contact me to discuss details. My hand dyed yarns can currently be found at Driftwood Yarns in Mystic, CT., Mermaids Purl, Wakefield, RI and traveling the country with the Bead Biz ladies.
