I was waitressing to put my husband through school due to a tough economy a few years ago and we had to "reinvent" ourselves. I took a jewelry making class with my friend who insisted I needed to get out more. I loved that class and really took off making all kinds of funky stuff. People kept wanting to buy my found object art necklaces that I would wear to work right off my neck!! They would even stop me on the street...WEIRD. Then, I painted a little vanity to show my pieces I was selling at a local street fair and a lady offered me a lot of money for that thing and it opened my eyes to a world I didn't even know existed. My "20 something" friends talked me into starting on etsy and all the social network stuff....(I'm somewhat of a techy disaster so they had to help me) I obliged them and here I am. It wasn't quite planned....but that's ok. That's life for ya.
My technique is largely experimental. Most of the time, the piece seems to create itself along the way, if that makes sense. I like to find things you might not see every day and wait to paint until I'm inspired. I like Annie Sloan's chalk paint with a wax finish the best, but have used other materials occasionally.
Well, that's about all there is to me, I wish it were more exciting than that, but it isn't.

Owner, And Her Hero
This is my guy. I couldn't/wouldn't do this without him. He hauls it, lifts it, cuts it, calls me crazy when I make him move it into the woods for pictures. He's the muscles behind the madness. Gotta love him...thanks honey!
