Frequently asked questions
What does the ship by date mean on my order?
Items will ship (or, if they are digital files, are due) by the ship date shown when you purchase. You can find this date on your Etsy receipt (under You>Purchases and Reviews). Assuming I have all the information for your order and have proof approval, I do my best to guarantee that your order gets out by or on the expected ship date.
I cannot guarantee delivery by any date. Upgrading to 2-3 day priority and 1-2 day express mail should speed up ship times significantly, but USPS does NOT guarantee the number of days items take to ship.
I will do my best to allow ample time for shipping so that your order arrives when you need it. Please know that if your "ship by" date is on a postal holiday, it may ship the next available shipping day.
How do you create your art?
Please know that all of my artwork is created digitally. I use manual processes to create beautiful, affordable prints. Nothing in my shop is hand drawn or hand painted. Working digitally means that I can provide proofs and edits to orders--these are things that would not be possible with drawn or painted pieces. Please read all listings carefully so that you know what you are purchasing. I cannot refund any custom orders due to the time it takes to create each one.
Custom and personalized orders
For custom orders, you will see a proof of your order on the ship-by date. I will try not to ship your order until I receive approval of the proof sent. If this approval is received past the ship date shown, then your order will ship within one business day of receiving the approval. If I do not receive proof approval within two business days of sending your proof, I will proceed with shipping your order. At this point, we will not be able to make edits to your order unless there was an error made on our end based on the information originally left at checkout. Just Artin' Around LLC will not be held responsible for items that ship late due to a delay in customer approval of custom work.
What about shipping?
All prints are enclosed in an acid-free sleeve. 5x7 and 8x10 prints are shipped with backers inside a rigid envelope marked "Do Not Bend." All larger prints are shipped in sturdy tubes. Calling cards and stationery are most often shipped in bubble mailers and small boxes, but this may vary based on the size of the order.
Just Artin' Around's Free Shipping ships USPS First Class. Upgraded USPS and UPS shipping options are offered at checkout. Advertised free UPS shipping includes the contiguous US only.
Just Artin' Around is proud to ship worldwide. International orders are shipped as usual and in the order in which they are received. Should customs fees apply, customer is responsible for paying these.
Tracking says "delivered," but I didn't receive my order.
If a tracked item is marked "delivered," yet a customer claims to have not received the item, Just Artin' Around will not be responsible for replacing the item. I will, however, work with you to get a new print at seller's cost.
Please be sure that the shipping address connected to your order is correct. I am not responsible for items shipped to addresses entered incorrectly by buyers.
What if I want you to customize my print beyond the options in the listing?
For custom requests, please convo me before placing your order. Usually I can accommodate easy changes at no additional cost, but if the changes are time-consuming, I may request that you purchase a $5 or $10 add-on listing for customization.
I will send a proof for approval before shipping and to allow for minor edits. Please know that edits do not include recreating the art with another photo or requests to add/delete previously unmentioned items. See "Custom and personalized orders" above for more information on the proofing process.
Refunds and Returns
For printed and shipped items: orders will not be refunded unless they are damaged via shipment. I do not accept returns or offer refunds unless an item is damaged. Please be sure to read the item listing carefully so that you know what you are purchasing. Should an item arrive damaged, I will ensure that a replacement is issued quickly. I cannot offer refunds on digital files that have been delivered to your inbox.
Cancellations must occur within 24 hours of placing the order. If we cannot get hold of a customer (via email or Etsy messaging) in order to retrieve customization directions and are therefore forced to process a cancellation, the refund will consist of the total order amount less the credit card processing fees.

Please know that printed colors will vary slightly from what you see on your screen, as will colors from one screen to the next.
No proofs will be sent before payment has been received.
Once artwork for an order has been created, I will not recreate the artwork using an alternate photo. To create another piece using a different photo, a second purchase must be made by the customer.

RE: Who I Am
Just Artin' Around is a one-woman shop, and I am a mother of two very young children. I work very hard to ensure all orders are fulfilled on time. However, certain extenuating circumstances may result in a slight delay of your ship date. These include personal illness, severe weather, and family emergencies. I will do my best to notify you as soon as possible if any delay were to occur.
RE: Refunds
All refunding of monies must occur through my Etsy seller account. If you dispute a transaction through your chosen method of payment (outside of Etsy), I do not necessarily have the ability to interact with your payment company, and this process is beyond my control and may cause significant delays in the return of your funds.
Personal vs. Commercial Use of Our Art
All pricing seen in our shop is based on creating art for personal use. Should you like to commission us for a commercial use project, please contact us for a quote.
