LOVE the color and the rug yarn is what I use!! Don't like the "chunky" yarn.
It all started with glass buttons
The love of buttons started the day my Mom handed me a handful of glass buttons she obtained from a friends estate. I couldn't believe buttons were made of glass.
I now hunt estate sales for buttons, I tend to find them in old tins, shoe boxes or glass jars and I can never leave them behind. When they are opened all are sorted into bins by color usually and this takes forever, of course I have a tendency to lag a little checking the buttons. Some are unusual in design, most are dirty, some have piles of thread attached but all have once belonged to someone. I recently bought jars from a lady who was selling her aunt's collection, she had sorted all her buttons into mason jars, by color and design. Another collection of buttons I bought were ceramic all in all about 40 lbs. that were from a store closing in the 60's.
I think of buttons as someone's possessions that were cherished and now when you purchase buttons hopefully some will become cherished by you, whether put into or onto a project, onto a piece of clothing or into a glass jar, little tin or shoe box.
