Announcement    The name is plain, but the creations are not, Just Plain Jane is just who I am. Like me on Facebook for occasional announcements of new items listed and special "deals" on etsy.

I was born and raised by a fun family in Hebron, Nebraska. There I spent endless hours making things inside and out of our family home. If there was anything else to do besides cleaning the house...we did it!

I had two choices for college -- the University of Nebraska or not at all. I loved UNL where I earned a bachelor's degree in teaching and continued on to get a Master's of Education in gifted education, while teaching for ten years. During my teaching days I moved a lot. I enjoyed teaching children in many parts of the USA and even spent one year in Barbados trying to grow exotic mushrooms.

I have two great adult children and a dog. I live in Bailey, Colorado. I love the mountains and all the fun people in our hood.

I have shown my work at art shows for over 31 years from Quartzite, Arizona to Ann Arbor, Michigan and hundreds of towns and cities in between. Wow, do I have some stories to tell. I love traveling all over the country meeting new people.

I continue to grow and expand my line of art while trying to integrate a new medium into my art to continue to stretch my horizons. The past few years I have learned how to lampwork, create with Precious Metal Clay (PMC), friendly plastic, recycled plastic bag art and hammered trinkets.

Currently I continue to hone my painting skills creating mixed media art.

Since the art show circuit is cancelled for the year, I’ve expanded my line of artsy decor.
