5 out of 5 starsReally fun rug. It works so well in my guest room. The work is very well made and the wools are great colors. I am very happy with this piece. I will keep looking back for more works to be posted.

Antique textiles need a thorough cleaning. The rugs get a thorough shampoo in the driveway on sunny days.

Handmade. Vintage. Primitive. Textiles and Decor.
"Making" is in my DNA. I don't recall a time "before" I came to handmade. My grandmother, a textile mill worker, taught me the fundamentals of manipulating fabric and thread. My love of quality and skill has always kept me in awe of the the handiwork of bygone eras. A husband with a penchant for flea markets taught me the thrill of the hunt. Now, here I am.
I'm prone to a certain quirky kind of crankiness that only creative people can get away with. But it is only because I want what I want. I want delighted customers, a thriving community, and a happy planet. Most importantly, I want the best out of my materials. It is very humbling to sit before another artisan's work--a 1890's hand pieced quilt square, for example--and attempt to figure out what's next for it; what's best for it. Because in working with vintage and antique pieces and materials My Story isn't just mine. My Story started with another person in another time. And once it's done with me, My Story becomes Yours.

Shop policies
The items you will see in the various collections are all one of a kind or made to order pieces, created by one real person for another. My design aesthetic is an amalgam of my bohemian and vintage sensibilities with a dose of classic design. A retro/mod type of feel makes an appearance from time to time, too. My inspiration is vast and varied: sometimes it's from a textile, image, or museum artifact, sometimes a color or a texture. Life experience is a frequent influential contributor. I source my materials to be organic, fair trade, recycled, and/or re-purposed. Frequently, my fabrics and yarns come from other artisans who work in small, exquisitely executed batches, who also maintain an environmentally friendly mind-set. This makes "one of a kind" an even truer description of some of my pieces. Through my work and studio I seek to marry creative inspiration with mindful business practices to contribute to the strength of a meaningful community of artisans and the people we create for. In all, I aspire to make beautiful things for you.
Please take the time to look around at my different collections and offerings, and certainly don't ever hesitate to ask any questions.
Thank you and enjoy-
Jess

Most orders are shipped via USPS or FedEx with delivery confirmation, but I also use UPS when appropriate. I will refund any significant overcharge of shipping, so please don't worry. I ship most orders out the next business day after your purchase. Items that are listed as either "custom" or "made to order" provide delivery schedules within their product descriptions. Please make sure those timeframes work for you prior to ordering. If you have any other special requests, please don't hesitate to ask.
Please note, that I ship to the shipping address listed on your Etsy order.
For International Buyers: I usually ship USPS Priority or First Class International Mail. This usually takes 6-14 business days. However, there are occasionally delays at the customs office of the destination country over which I have no control. Please keep this in mind. Buyer is responsible for any import fees, tariffs, or taxes. If you would like to explore other less expensive shipping options, please just let me know.
