Her communication is stellar and her craft is the best I have ever seen. Thank you so much Kajal. I look forward to next time :)

5 out of 5 starsNever in my life have I been so pleased with an Internet order. Kajal of Kajal's malas designed this precious blessing of a mala using my feedback and her intuition. I felt she took in the spirit of my request and created something better than I imagined! The quality of the stones is amazing. She used the purest, most powerful, incredibly gorgeous stones. She made this mala with the purest loving heart. It is like having the mala blessed before receiving it. Not only is Kajal's work full of craftsmanship, it is also full of deep spiritual insight. My hands buzz with the power of her loving intention each time I hold her creation! I am beyond happy with this item, I feel I have received a powerful blessing!

5 out of 5 starsI feel like anything I could write won't even do justice to the amazing experience I have had working with Kajal. She is so intuitive and talented. The love she has for life and kind interaction is evident in her communication. She knew EXACTLY what type of mala would be perfect for me. Before I even received it I knew it was right...so when I opened it, I couldn't be surprised that it just FIT. It hasn't left my side and I have already noticed it's positive effects. Please don't hesitate to purchase one of Kajal's malas. She and her work are beautiful!!!

Hand knotting adds to the beauty of your mala, increases it’s strength and keeps it’s beads from rubbing against each other. It is overall a nicer feel as the beads slide across your fingers during japa, and even as you wear or hold your mala, as the gemstone beads stay secured in place with the knotted silk thread. Hand knotting a mala takes much longer to create, but it is oh so worth the time!
In many traditions a mala is 108 beads (a sacred number)** or a number divisible by 9, hence the 54 bead and 27 bead malas. The number of repetitions of mantra, prayer or intention should be 108, so when using a 54 bead mala, the mala is turned after one pass, and 54 more repetitions are completed for a total of 108 repetitions. Using a 27 bead mala, you would turn the mala three more times after the original pass to complete 108. The guru (or meru) bead is not counted, this is the bead from which the tassel hangs.
Your mala will arrive in a protective pouch for safe keeping, along with more detailed information on the practice of japa meditation, as well as info on the stones used in your mala.
~ Here’s a tip for keeping your tassel from getting messy ~ drop the beads into your pouch first, keeping the tassel up toward the top of the pouch (it will be upside down). Then lightly tighten the drawstring around your tassel. This will keep it straight and nice! ~
