The 3rd and final seal. These sit for 4 hrs and then I carefully smooth out the bottoms. 24 hrs rest and final design! -

Unable to talk due to Situational Mutism, I began folding paper at age 10 as a form of expression. Decades later, I am sharing my paper creations.

Custom and personalized orders
If there is a pair of earrings I sold that you love, I can recreate them for you. There is a longer processing time for these, so please contact me to discuss. If I don't have the papers in stock, I will need to order them. Also, keep in mind that I can't control how the pattern on the paper displays itself in the final product, so your earrings will be different than any you see pictured. But, that's the joy of working with chiyogami paper! And, you still get your very own unique pair of earrings.

I love a pair of Origami Treasure Box Earrings that already sold. Will you repeat any earring designs?
Each pair of Origami Treasure Box Earrings is it's own unique piece of art. But, please send me a message and if I have the paper you love in stock, I'm sure we can work something out. Part of what makes my Origami Treasure Box Earrings special is that you will be the only person who owns your particular pair of earrings!

Why are these earrings more expensive than other origami earrings on Etsy?
All Kansai Treasures earrings are folded by hand and triple coated for protection. The entire process takes about 10 days, including significant time for designing the perfect setting for each paper treasure box. The hollow nature of these boxes are part of what makes them treasures, but it's also why they take so much more work to make.
I take great care to design gorgeous earrings with high quality materials. All settings are either sterling silver, 24k gold filled, or 24 gold plated, unless otherwise noted. Rest assured that you are receiving quality jewelry that you won't find anywhere else!
Do you accept returns?
I do not accept returns, but I do want to make sure you are happy with your earrings! Please contact me if you have any issues or concerns about your purchase.
I live nearby. Can I purchase an item and pick up locally instead of paying shipping?
Absolutely. Please message me with a link to the item you'd like to purchase. At a mutually agreeable time, I will mark it as "Reserved" and remove the shipping charges. (When an item is marked as "Reserved" it doesn't prevent others from purchasing the item.) You purchase and we'll set up a time for you to pick it up!
I ordered a Chiyogami Necklace and it looks different from the photos in your listing.
My Chiyogami Necklaces are restocked as I'm able, but I am unable to do a photo shoot and create a new listing for each restocked necklaces. As a result, each necklace will look slightly different from the listing photos. The paper pattern will be the same, but how it lies on the shell is entirely dependent on how the cracks lay, and exact print and angle of the paper.
