This beautiful kanzashi first brought me to your shop, and I couldn't get just one! Thanks for the fine craftsmanship of these beautiful ornaments, which all arrived safely.
My goal is to make YOU feel like a Princess when you wear one of my creations.
Whether you just want something to dress up your day-to-day outfits or something for that special occasion, I hope you will find one of my kanzashi’s to suit your needs. If not, I’m always happy to do custom orders so feel free to contact me :)
Each one of my kanzashi’s is lovingly made by me using the tsumami technique traditionally used to make the hair ornaments you see Maiko’s (apprentice Geisha’s) wear. This means that each flower petal is made by folding small square pieces of material and carefully assembled to form a flower. As you can imagine, this process is very time consuming but it means that each piece is unique.
Also, be assured that your item is coming from a PET-FREE and SMOKE-FREE home :)
Accepted payment methods
- Accepts Etsy gift cards
At this current time I can only accept Paypal, Etsy Gift Card or Direct Checkout for international orders, I apologise for any inconvenience.
My preferred payment method is direct bank deposit but I will also accept money order and Paypal.
Payment must be received within 7 days of purchase, if not I will regretfully have to relist the item. However, I do understand that unexpected circumstances arise so please contact me if you have problems and we can arrange something :)
I DO NOT make any profit off shipping, as shipping in Australia is extremely expensive. For one kanzashi alone, it costs me AUD$14.20 to send to the United States. Multiple purchases for combined shipping is recommended, I will refund any difference in postal costs if the value is more than $3.00 (after packaging & handling costs).
Shipping will be via Air Mail with NO insurance as this is the most economical. Insurance is optional and can be arranged for an additional AUD$9.60. All orders over $80.00 will be advised to purchase insurance.
The BUYER will assume responsibility for any costs due to their country’s customs – though I will ship it under the title ‘gift’ to try and eliminate this cost.
Shipping will be via PARCEL POST (includes TRACKING) with NO insurance. Insurance is available upon request for an additional AUD$3.05.
Handling Time and Fees:
Generally items will be shipped within 3 BUSINESS days (does not include Saturdays and Sundays) of receiving payment. However, for made-to-order items, please allow up to 5 business days as it takes some time for the rice glue to dry. I do charge a small fee (approx. $1.00) to cover the cost of packaging materials.
All of my kanzashi’s will be shipped in a box to ensure they aren’t damaged during transit.
If you need the item in a hurry, I will be happy to arrange express shipping for you at your cost. Please contact me with your country (International) or post code (Australian) so that I may provide you with a quote.
Please note that I cannot be liable for Australia Post transit time, so please allow sufficient time for the item to get to you.
Refunds and Exchanges
Please contact me before purchasing if you have any questions.
Additional policies and FAQs
I’m always happy to accept custom orders. However, I do ask that you provide sufficient time for me to make your kanzashi and for the item to be posted to you.
I usually only work with synthetic material, however I am willing to work with other fibres – silk will mean that the kanzashi will be more expensive though. If you have material to match your outfit, I am happy to make your kanzashi using the same material and can deduct the cost of material from your price (you will need to post the material to me however).
When contacting me about your custom piece please:
1) Provide me details of what you want – like how big you want it, how many flowers, how many (if any) dangling piece you want, the colours, etc.
2) Tell me where I’m posting the item to.
3) When you need it by.
4) What you would like it attach to. Options – plastic comb, bobby pin, hair fork, barrette (though I do not recommend it as you’ll likely damage the flower when putting it on), alligator clip.
I will do my best to work with you in the design of your kanzashi :) so don’t hesitate to ask.
