Howdy! I'm Karen, the dyer behind Round Table Yarns. With this yarn company, I combine my two passions: yarn and Arthurian literature. But mostly I am passionate about sharing those two loves with you.

When I left academia several years ago (my background is medieval literature), the thing I missed the most was interacting with my students and getting to share the stories I love with them. I wanted to find a way that I could still share those stories outside a classroom environment. Thus, when I decided to start dyeing yarn, I realized I could do that through the names I use for my yarn bases and colors. And Round Table Yarns was born.

Along with some beautiful yarn colors that are perfect for your projects, especially if you work with cables or lace, you'll also find the stories behind the names of the colorways.
