5 out of 5 starsBeautiful pin cushion, except it’s too nice to use it as one. Going to sit on my table looking at me while I watch tv and search the internet. Thanks

5 out of 5 starsThis little Coal-tit is so cute. I bought it as a birthday present for my mother and arrived in good time and was carefully wrapped and in perfect condition. This is the third bird that I have bought from this seller and like the others it is equisite. It is pictured here with the first bird I bought, the Long-tailed Tit, and they make a lovely pairing.

5 out of 5 starsKaren is a true artist. I purchased an African Lion and an African Painted Dog from her. They are both truly works of art. Karen was very accommodating of a special request I made of her and most gracious in my conversations with her. Shipping was remarkably fast and everything was well packaged.

A blending board and hand carders are very useful tools to create the perfect colour and texture for each animal.

I have wool stored everywhere, but for smaller amounts and to keep all colours handy these organisers work very well.

It keeps amazing me what you can do with some wool and needles. Here's a group portrait. Some are best friends already!
A passion for wildlife
I have been a wildlife photographer for many years, but I also love working with fabric & fibres. For me needle felting is a perfect combination. I love shaping the wool into lots of different animal sculpture and hope you like these wooly creatures too.

Frequently asked questions
How environmental friendly is the packaging?
Care has been taken to use as little plastic as possible when packing my needle felted items. The occasional bit of cellotape cannot be avoided as labels do not stick well to paper parcel tape. Please REUSE or RECYCLE the cardboard box, paper and tissue paper.
What materials do you use for your needle felted animals?
The needle felted animals are made from a blend of natural or dyed sheep wool (various breeds) around a frame of galvanised iron wire. For some creatures bamboo fibres are added to make the blend a bit more shiny. The eyes are either needle felted or beads, preferrably glass, but not all sizes are available in glass. For the nails I sometimes use acryllic paint or nailpolish to give them the appropriate colour.
