SO disappointed in this shop and her customer service. After ordering this print, waiting more than three weeks, never receiving, corresponding with karinelizabeth, waiting another week per her request, item never showed up. I immediately requested help, and since she had no tracking or delivery confirmation, she canceled my order instead of sending a replacement as I requested. I have used Etsy for 6 years and this is the first time the vendor refused to send a replacement, help or do anything at all. I DO NOT recommend.

PLEASE NOTE THAT I DID NOT "DO NOTHING" - I IMMEDIATELY FULLY REFUNDED. Track and trace costs a buyer more than most of my prints are even worth (see POLICIES). When an item gets lost, I take responsibility: a) replace via standard letter mail, if print's in stock & buyer not in a hurry b) FULL refund when I cannot meet the buyer's expectations and standards anymore Buyer demanded I replace ASAP via expedited shipping. Print wasn't in stock; expedited shipping costs 60 euros, an unreasonable financial loss for the seller. I refunded, apologized. Buyer still demanded a replacement, I drew a line. Buyer unwilling to accept decision to fully refund & NOT immediately, expensively replace. Threatened with this bad review. Thank you for reading & understanding.

I love it! It arrived damaged (because of the post). The customer service was great; she sent me a new one and kept me updated the whole time. The print is beautiful!
A drop in this vast ocean
I became an Etsy member in September 2007! That's right. I've been here for a while. But it took me a few years to really get selling. You see, I'm a bit shy when it comes to putting my work out there.
I didn't have the confidence for the longest time, until I started my portraiture photography business here in The Netherlands, and got my first clients. That's when I realized that, hey, maybe my work is sell-able!
So right now I'm tentatively dipping my toes into the huge, open ocean that is Etsy.com, my shop one of many drops that make this place - and have listed several of my fine art portraits and landscape prints.
My photography has been described as luminous, because I adore (natural) light and finding the best ways to incorporate light into my photography. I have taken that term to heart. I also strive to tell stories with my photography, allowing viewers to wonder what is going on in a particular scene. I like to express and evoke emotions and possibilities.
I'm mostly selling smaller prints right now, but I am working on providing bigger prints in the near future. I'm excited to expand, excited to be a part of this, to be a drop in this vast ocean.
My friends call me Kaat! I'm a 30 year-old fine art and portraiture photographer from the southern Netherlands.

TRACK & TRACE NOT STANDARD: EXPLANATION
In order for me to keep the shipping fees affordable for you, I have to send your print by standard international letter mail via PostNL. Letter mail does not include track & trace, signed-for... This is unfortunately something the postal service here doesn't offer for standard (inter)national letter mail, but can be purchased as an additional service... which leads to an increase in shipping costs to a total of about 10 dollars for Holland itself to 22 dollars for shipping outside of Europe. The costs for track & trace in most cases is a lot more than the value of the print in question. I can't ask that of you, not when the chance of delays or a loss is minimal, looking at my track record thus far. As a seller I'm truly very sorry that track and trace is not a standard or affordable option, but I rely on other service's fees and policies, and I make decisions that are in the best interests of both my shop and of course my customers.
This means I'm having a little faith in the postal service which almost always does it well, I'm asking you to have just a little faith in me as I do my best for you, and I'm making sure you don't overpay on shipping fees when it usually, quite honestly, goes fine.

NEED BY CERTAIN DATE?
I cannot at this time offer expedited shipping, because costs are ludicrously high for that. (Source: http://www.postnl.nl/versturen/brief-of-kaart-versturen/brief-of-kaart-buitenland/brief-buitenland-met-spoedservice/ - zone 1 for instance is the UK and Germany; 6 is the USA...) Again, I wish I could offer it.
Keep in mind that the item will ship from The Netherlands. Order well on time, or convo me beforehand to ask me what I can do for you and if it's doable to get it to you on time; at the most I can speed up my processing time.
If it ends up being delayed despite my best efforts, please refer to the refund policy section.
As explained above, I cannot offer expedited shipping for a reasonable amount.
I had shipping upgrade listings ready for track & trace shipping, but am in the process of updating those to see if I can maybe work towards the customer more and share in SOME of the costs there. I'd have to factor in some things such as print value and what not.

Refunds and Exchanges
Always contact me about custom listings before you order something so I can make a custom item for you.
If you order something and request alterations after the item has been marked as shipped, see the Accidentally Ordered Wrong section as the same policy applies here.
If you order something and request alterations after your purchase (but before I've shipped the item), expect processing and shipping to take longer. In some cases however I cannot guarantee to follow your wishes or standards, and will cancel the order with a full refund.
The seller may cancel a transaction & refund in the case of loss or damage: see final paragraph of this Refund Policy.
The listing and the provided images include all the necessary information; I hope this will help you make an informed purchase. It is my responsibility as a seller to give accurate information; however, it is your responsibility as a buyer to read that information with care prior to purchase. Please read and inform yourself before making a purchase.
You may request I cancel a sale in any circumstance (even custom print orders), but you'll need to send the item back to me safely (undamaged) first.
Depending on the reason for cancellation, I will either refund minus shipping costs, or refund in full. I will be fair about this.
Exchanges are possible, but only if the original item is returned to me first, undamaged - and for similar value.
E.g. you may exchange an 18x13cm print for another 18x13cm print. It may not be in stock so it could take time to process the exchange.
I will charge additional standard letter mail shipping fees for exchanges.
I kindly and very respectfully ask you to wait it out a little while longer and to trust that there will be a solution.
If the item has arrived but it took 3 or more weeks: I apologize for your inconvenience. I am happy to hear the item has at least arrived safely... :) Please convo me if this is the case, and allow me to get back to you on the matter.

LOST OR DAMAGED:
In the case of damage or loss (due to shipping problems) we'll work out something suitable by way of a refund or new print. The seller determines which it will be on a case by case basis:
a) I may replace the print by standard letter mail if I have the print in stock and the buyer is not in a hurry to have the item.
b) I may cancel the order myself & refund in full if I don't have the item in stock, OR feel I can't reasonably meet the buyer's standards, wishes or expectations anymore. The buyer may also request I cancel the order (see Returns section).
In the case of damage, I may request a photograph of the damaged item before proceeding.
