About

A commitment to art

I have been painting on and off for over fifteen years - the past five years I have been painting full time. Creating art is how I understand the world. It is also how I learn more about myself. A wise artist and dear friend once said to me that when we find art we love, we feel more like ourselves. It does seem as though the right painting can hit one at the very core. It is my hope that one (or more) of my paintings will do that for you!

It is my heartfelt desire to make the best possible art I can. I have found that a full time commitment to making art has changed my level of accomplishment. As long as I can keep selling art, I will keep creating it and getting better.

I am inspired by my surroundings. My husband and I currently live in the desert near Joshua Tree, California. I also have opened a second etsy.com shop called "jackrabbit junction." This is where you can find my paintings of the desert wildlife.

I hope you come back to visit again soon!

I have been a full time artist for 5 years. My love of abstraction has been with me since I first saw a painting by de Kooning, and it continues to this day. I also love to paint the figure and wild animals.

Shop policies

Thank you for visiting my shop! I owned an art gallery for over three years, and had a lot of repeat business. I want you to be happy with your purchase. I understand that buying art online can be a bit intimidating. If you purchase a painting from me and find that you aren't thrilled with it in person, you have 5 days to contact me. I will have you send the art back for a full refund, minus shipping one way. I love my art, and I want you to feel the same way.
For smaller items, if you aren't satisfied, contact me immediately. We will work out an agreeable solution. I do want you to be happy with what you buy from me!

Payment
My preferred method of payment is paypal. However, I will take a cashier's check or a personal check. I will not send out any art until payment has cleared. California residents will be charged sales tax.
Shipping
All art is carefully packaged for shipping. For small items (under $100), I ship USPS first class within the US, and first class international everywhere else. Items over $100 will be shipped Priority Mail within the US. I will insure any art over $100.00. Small items (cards or reproductions) will not be shipped with delivery confirmation or insurance unless the buyer requests it, but larger items and original art will be shipped with delivery confirmation. For faster shipping or other shipping options, please feel free to contact me via a convo or email me at weenafish [!at] gmail.com. Buyer is expected to pay any customs fees.
Refunds and Exchanges
I have shipped art for over 5 years without incident. However, in the unlikely event that damage occurs during shipping, please contact me immediately so that if repairs can be made, we can arrange for that to happen.

I love my art and I want you to love it too! If you find that you aren't in love with a painting after seeing it in person, please contact me immediately (within one or two days of receiving it) and we can arrange for a refund or exchange.
Additional policies and FAQs
I use the highest quality materials that I can afford. Keep in mind that the colors in the art may differ from what you see on your computer moniter. This is a result of not all screens being calibrated the same way, and because of the limits of digital photography. More often than not, the art looks better in person.
