This painting means the world to me. It will be treasured forever. The reason is because my mother died three years ago and her eyes were EXACTLY like this. Same color, same iris patterns, same golden ring around the pupil. This artist could not have been more accurate if I would have ordered a custom painting from my mom's photo. When I saw it, I was amazed. It makes me so happy to see the color of my moms eyes again. I'd give this purchase a million stars if I could. Thank you so very much. You are such an exceptionally talented artist to create such a life like masterpiece. I call it "Doris Jean's Eye". This painting means more to me than you could possibly know. Fast and secure shipping. I highly recommend this wonderful artist and shop.

The path to strange

It was quite inevitable that I eventually became an artist- just like my Parents, and my Grandpa. I used to live above my Father's sculpture workshop and could witness how timber, stone and metal turn into various shapes and constructions.

It took me some time until I decided what I want to study- I chose photography. In the early 2000's analogue photography was still going strong, but by the time of my graduation in 2006 suddenly it became obvious, that digital is the future. It opened new possibilities but also became accessible to almost anyone.

Soon enough I became interested in different mediums, and now painting, sculpting in polymer, various crafts and even tattooing- overtook photography.

I was never interested in "easy" art, pretty, uncomplicated. I need a dose of surrealism, some melancholy, some darkness. I love Nature and it is my main and foremost inspiration for everything I do. I love finding objects. I love recycling and upcycling.

My favourite motifs include all sorts of eyes. It might be even an obsession of some kind- I don't know. Human iris is a universe of its own. To me, it is a never ending source for creating new works.

I hope one day to live off my creations, for now- I enjoy every sign of interest or admiration from people who see the world a bit like I do.
