5 out of 5 starsI have wanted to make this dress since my oldest daughter was small but I never got around to doing it. Now I have 2 granddaughters and I still want to make this dress for them. I lost my pattern but recently found the outside envelope in a box. I went looking for this pattern online and found 3 different sizes on Etsy. I bought them all. I was exceedingly happy that I found them and they are in great shape. Thanks!!!

About karl79
Vintage and Out of Print Sewing Patterns by KARL 79
About ten years ago, I bought a collection of unused patterns from the ‘70s at a thrift shop. Inspired, I whipped up a few outfits (the Butterick 5498 “Wrap-and-Go” dress remains a favorite) and rediscovered my love of sewing.
I became obsessed, scouring thrift shops and estate sales for vintage sewing patterns. Soon, I had more patterns than I could ever possibly sew, and thus, KARL 79 was born.

I learned how to sew on my mom's Singer 201 when I was nine. I love vintage sewing patterns for many reasons: The literate, detailed instructions; the whimsical illustrations, and—of course—the fabulous vintage styles!

My sweet Chihuahua, Frank, has been with me since 2010, when I rescued him from the South Los Angeles Animal Shelter. He's very good at supervising when I'm busy scanning patterns for my shop!
