Announcement   karoArt is a small Dublin based ceramic studio where beautifully coloured, whimsical pieces are made in fully handmade process. Individually hand-painted and sketched on, Karo's ceramics are inspired by natural wonders, creatures and fairy stories; they have the ‘perfectly imperfect’ quality of truly handmade work.
Only high quality porcelain and stoneware clays are used and high-fired to over 1230 degrees Celcius ensuring strength and durability. We like the idea of 'usable art'- beautiful objects put to daily use.
All pieces (with exception of those made using black clay or being decorated with gold luster) are dishwasher and microwave safe. Black clay is also unsuitable for food use.

I had to order 3 more bowls as company for my favourite breakfast bowl. Using these bowls start my day off on a happy note so hoping the family ,who know not to touch my special bowl, get to share the love. Great communication from the seller and careful packaging for the long journey to New Zealand.

About

Modern ceramics, with playful, whimsical touches and a nod to nature.

Karolina Grudniewska aka Karo is a self-thought ceramicist, the designer and the maker of karoArt ceramics.

Polish born, she arrived in Ireland in 2004. Her path to discovering ceramics was long and winding; it took many career turns and finishing two degrees before she discovered clay in 2011.

Karo always had an urge to do creative things but could not find the right medium to let the creativity flow. It was Jacek, Karo's partner, who offered her this amazing gift that keeps on giving and gave Karo two bags of raw clay as a Christmas gift!

You can read a full story of karoArt and have a quick peek into my studio in this blog feature: http://www.etsy.com/blog/en/2013/quit-your-day-job-karoart/

.............................................................................
Welcome to karoArt and thank you for browsing.

All ceramics available from my shop I make myself in my Dublin-based studio. The designs are a unique product of my mind and they are repeated in small batches, where pieces may be similar to each other but never identical.

While photographing pieces I use natural daylight in order to best represent the colours. Nonetheless, please allow for slight variations as computer screens may alter the hues slightly.

Being an environmentally conscious person, I take care to wrap and label my ceramics using recycled and eco-friendly materials. I also ship my pieces in reused boxes and recycled bubble wrap, shredded paper etc.

If you ever have any questions or comments, please contact me using Etsy convo system or email me at hello [!at] karoart.eu

Thank you,

Karo
