5 out of 5 starsIt was great! They wrote down what everything was on a sheet of paper witch was very helpful. Everything was a little smaller then I expected but I still loved it!

About katarinanavane
A varied Cabinet of Curiosities by a single artist.
I sold my first artwork when I was 10 and my parents let me set up a stand doing custom drawings at our garage sale. I sold handmade jewelry at local shows starting just a couple years later, and started this etsy when I was in high school. My art has evolved over the years, as I try new things and learn new techniques, but certain themes have always shined through, such as my fascination with Victorian era and Cabinets of Curiosities. I see myself as a bit of a mad scientist, rearranging and combining disparate elements into a whole that is hopefully a little wonderful and a little creepy.

I'm an artist living in Columbus Ohio. I am always making and trying new mediums, so there are a lot of types of work available in my shop, from jewelry to sculpture to zines and more, most inspired by the chaos of antique curio cabinets. Enjoy!

Materials Sources
I try to acquire the animal parts I use (bones, etc.) as respectfully and ethically as possible. No animals were killed for the use of their bones/etc in my art. Some were found dead, some killed for food, some naturally deceased, killed as pests, etc. I'm operating under a "better to use it than throw it away" theory, which I hope you all understand.
Similarly, all the old books, clocks, etc. that I use are damaged to the point of non-functional. I don't destroy anything valuable or useful, and try to only make things that improve the starting materials.
Almost all the sea shells I use are ones I personally found on the beach, although some were traded for, or purchased second hand.
