For kids and kids at heart!
Kate Durkin's studio and shop are based in Queens, NY, and focus on clean, modern illustrations with a playful sensibility. Her line of artwork, plush toys and modern decor is perfect for the nursery, living room, or bedroom, and make ideal gifts for baby showers and birthdays.
Kate founded her business is 2007 after studying painting in Florence, Italy, and trying (with limited success) to show her work in galleries. After she discovered the type of creating she really loves, her artwork developed into a children's line, which reflects the whimsy, playfulness, and colorful aesthetic that brings herself and others joy.
All of the animal pillows, flash cards, placemats and artwork are original illustrations created by Kate. Everything in the shop is handmade in NYC or produced in the USA.
Kate feels so blessed to be able to work hard and do what she loves for a living. Having a home studio allows her to spend time with her two daughters, Lily, 4, and Ada, 2, who help her test out new designs and products.
