This is a beautiful piece. It makes a great addition to my kitchen, or bathroom or...well looks like I have to order another one. Thanks!

About

For the love of clay!

I grew up knowing someday I would be an artist, for example a friend of mine found an elementary yearbook from my sixth grade year, in the back they have a section where all the sixth graders submitted what they wanted to be when they grew up. My friend was amazed that even in the sixth grade I knew I would be an artist. It is kinda in my blood.... My grandfather on my mother's side taught himself to paint, and enjoyed every hobby under the sun. My mother is an dedicated crafter, stamper, scrap booker, seamstress etc. My father is a carpenter and can build anything.
I was bitten by the clay bug in college and the itch was never cured. I love looking around and creating from the things in nature. All the things around us make me think of design and texture. It is quite inspiring!

Ok, nitty gritty... I was making some cash at shows, but those are expensive and not always did I make a return. Then someone mentioned Etsy! I was reluctant at first but thought what can it hurt at least someone would be seeing my art and the "someones" could be anywhere in the world. Exciting!
And the rest is what you see in my shop..Enjoy!

I have been working in the arts since 1995, I specialize in Raku firing techniques, but love to push the limits, expanding the idea of using material. Many pieces incorporate oceanic colors, aquatic creatures and centuries old Celtic designs.
