My story begins in a small town called Pine Plains, located in the Hudson Valley Region of New York. This is my home turf. Surrounded by high trees, rolling plains, vivid colors, and a strong sense of community, it's a place that will steal a piece of your heart. It's a place I'm proud to call home and it's natural beauty inspired me to pursue my dreams of becoming an artist.

Over the past 10 years I've lived in different cities and I've traveled to various countries, experiencing their culture and art through a variety of mediums. From the bright colors of the deep blue in Australia, to the deep greys found in monumental structures like the Great Wall in China, to the beautiful pastel palette of colors that makes up California's landscape, I am inspired always by colors, landmarks, and landscapes throughout my journeys. My creation process is fun. I pick apart photographs from my journeys around the globe and I turn textures from landscapes and visuals into abstractions. It's a way for me to keep my experiences alive. It allows me to connect with people and places around the world while I'm sitting at my desk making a mess.

Creating art makes me happy, and I feel good about that. I graduated college with a degree in Art Education, with a minor in Ceramics and Art Therapy. What I've come to realize is that my passion lies within, and when I create, I am in my happy place. This is where I want to stay, and my hope is that my Etsy shop will allow me to pursue my dream of becoming a full time artist.
