This beauty stopped me in my tracks for nine thousand different reasons: artistry, poetry, ancestry. It arrived quickly and thoughtfully packaged, and was even lovelier than I'd imagined. Thank you! & thanks.

Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. I love this piece so much I could cry. There are so many ways this work could have gone 'wrong' but Kathleen has such skill in executing her vision that there is not one false note. I love it. Thank you so much. Keep creating - you are very very talented.

About

ORIGINAL Hand-Pulled Prints and original paintings

Welcome to Carbon Dove Prints ... my little shop of hand pulled, original relief prints (and a few paintings).
Relief prints result from a raised printing surface. In other words, the portion of the block meant to take the ink is raised, while the nonprinting areas are cut away below the surface. An image is drawn on a linoleum block and then the nonimage areas are cut away with sharp tools. The remaining, raised areas are inked, paper is laid on the block, and then the back of the paper is rubbed to pick up the image. My images generally reflect nature, literature and the human psyche.

I made my first linoleum print in 7th grade. Even though my best friend splattered black ink onto my favorite yellow blouse during clean up ... I didn't care ... I was hooked!
