I purchased this ceramic pup to go with one that I already have, which was part of a set in my grandmother's home over 60 years ago. The ceramic pup that I already had was a surviving decorative item, after our family home was in the 1972 Agnes flood, and most of her furnishings were destroyed. I found it among my mother's things after her death in 2021, and it brought back many memories of my grandmother and other family members that have passed. When my daughter did an image search online, I couldn't believe that she found the matching ceramic pup, and I did not hesitate to purchase it. Reuniting and displaying them both together, brings me a bit of nostalgia, and reminds me how my family overcame, persevered and prospered through a natural disaster.
